When I first saw this Dehaner Basketball Shorts, I almost just skipped over it because of the funky color schemes. I then saw the light blue shorts and it instantly brought me back to my childhood and watching Michael Jordan when he was playing with the Tarheels. No, I’m not from North Caroline, but who’s not a Michael Jordan fan?The light blue Dehaner shorts does really resemble the Carolina Blue of the Tarheels. Even the stripes give it a retro look. These shorts are built like the old school 80’s and 90’s shorts too. They are THICK! The mesh is dual layered unlike many of today's athletic shorts. The waistband is very thick too. I’m only 5’3” so I appreciate the short inseam for basketball shorts. Basketball shorts usually have 10” inseams and I look like I’m wearing baggy pants. The 7.5” inseam is perfect. These shorts run a little smaller than most other sports brand shorts that I usually buy. I’d say maybe half a size smaller. No big deal. It’s still comfortable and takes me back to my youth.

My new favorite shorts. They fit great and the colors are amazing. They remind me of summer in the 90s. The material is great and I absolutely love the black tie, it's a great touch. If you like to look cool then you should buy these.

Heavier shorts can sometimes be more constricting but these are not at all - I felt like I moved easily.The waist band has plenty of give although the drawstring does not - so you can adjust it as needed. I actually found the setting it came with was fine for me.The pockets are a bit small but the zipper is a nice feature - great for a credit card, cash, car key, etc.I wear 34x34 pants and the large size was fine.Personally I liked the color selection. I'm not a very showy person but extra color does bring visibility when running on roads.

Do not dry these shorts! If you dry them, they WILL SHRINK! I dried them once in the dryer, and they became my 9 yr old's shorts very quickly.

These shorts are great shorts for working out, playing sports, or using them for minimal cover on a warmer night. The elastic is wide, not bunching up or curling and the zippered pockets are a huge plus. Personally I wish that every pant item I own would have zippered pockets for the security a zipper offers. The black with white is a good contrast and should do a reasonable job of hiding the dirt.However, one caution...make sure to refer to the sizing chart prior to placing an order as it appears that many might want to consider going up a size with how the sizing chart reads. I believe that you will be pleased with these shorts with the breathability and comfort they provide.
