These bulbs are the high quality I expect from Phillips
I used Philips 65W incandescent bulbs in my recessed fixtures for 25 years and have been on a years-long hunt to find LED replacements which live up to the quality and longevity of those fantastic incandescents. Hopefully, these Philips bulbs will meet the challenge. Like pretty much every bulb, these are made in China, but my first impression is that they are quality Philips products, not cheap imitations. The bulbs tout the fact that they use 40% less energy than “standard” LED bulbs. That is true (these bulbs use 4.5W while many others use 7W-9W), but these bulbs also provide 20%-40% less light output (650 lumens compared to 800-1100 lumens for others I have tried). At full brightness, they are perfect for my needs, but just be aware that they are noticeably less bright than higher-wattage LED bulbs. These bulbs also claim to have a 50,000-hour lifespan, which is at least twice as long as most other brands. Ordinarily, I would be skeptical of that claim, but I haven’t been disappointed by Philips bulbs in the past, and these bulbs have an impressive *5-YEAR* limited warranty (see photo of back of box), not the 2-year warranty listed on the product page. Some other bulbs have 2- or 3-year warranties, and many have no warranties at all; I have never seen a bulb with a 5-year warranty. Hopefully, I won’t need to request a replacement, but Philips has been around a long time, so if a bulb dies prematurely, I have confidence the company will still be around. The bulbs themselves are glass, and look and feel very high quality. (Some brands are now using plastic for the body and lens cover, which is kind of nice because they are lighter and less fragile.) These bulbs also have a slightly thinner neck than most other brands; that is not a pro or con, but they look very streamlined. Most importantly, the light quality is excellent, which I would expect from a Philips product. The 3000K color does a good job of emulating incandescents; they are bright, but warm, with none of the blue-white hue of 5000K bulbs, so they provide a very “traditional” type of lighting. They also dim very smoothly using my older Lutron dimmers; I have noticed no flickering or buzzing at all.In terms of value, these bulbs are not inexpensive (about $27 for a 3-pack at time of order; currently, there is a 15%-off coupon); that is a few dollars more than some other brands, but these bulbs claim to have twice the lifespan. Based on the initial high quality of the bulbs and the excellent warranty, I think these are a reasonable value even if the up-front cost a little higher.5 stars.

First box was mostly dead, 2nd was good
These replaced the old bulbs in a section of track lighting above my kitchen sink. They are about as bright as I expected them to be given the wattage, and the color temperature is decent. A little on the cooler side of soft white. They dim, though I do hear some buzzing from them while dimmed. It goes away at full power. My first box had only one functional bulb in it. When I returned that and got a replacement, all 3 were fine. They do feel kind of cheap given the brand name and price. This review was for "PHILIPS Ultra Efficient, BR30 Frosted Dimmable, EyeComfort Technology, 650 Lumens, 3000K Soft White, T20 Certified, E26 Base, 3PK"

Bright, and very efficient compared to earlier bulb generations
This bulb does a capable job of replacing older reflectors around the home. As a test, I swapped an older generation 13W Feit brand LED bulb, and it puts out as much or more light at 35% the power. The 3000K color temperature is a little cooler than the 2700K one I replaced, and I tried to capture the difference in one of my photos. It's hard to get the color balance to turn out well with my phone, but you may be able to see a slight color difference between the Philips in the foreground and an older one in the back. While installing the bulb, I noted the all-plastic body which is far lighter than the bulb I replaced. It's always nice when you're having to reach above your head for an install. I'm often a bit leery about the heavy ones because a fumble could send it crashing on my head.Out of the box, I'm impressed. I wish they specifically rated these for damp or outdoor situations, but I suppose those may be coming in the form of another model. In my experience, Philips LED bulbs tend to last longer than many competitors, and I hope it will be the same for these. If any fail prematurely, I'll try to update my review.

Sounds great--time will tell
We have over a dozen ceiling fixtures that use this style of light--BR30 LED dimmable, 65W equivalent--so I ordered these PHILIPS Ultra Efficient, BR30 Frosted Dimmable, EyeComfort Technology, 650 Lumens in Soft White. I as attracted by the claims of 40% energy savings and the new technology that says they are designed for eye comfort. We currently use 4000K daylight bulbs (no particular brand) and we tend to have problems with them burning out in a much shorter time frame than advertised. One of the rooms has a dimmer so with Phillips claiming 3.5X the lifetime (50,000 hours) I thought these might be a good choice. My initial reaction is they work well, but they aren't as bright as the ones we normally use. Whether that's due to the reduced wattage or the change to soft white--which has more of a yellowish cast than I prefer--I'm not sure. They'll be fine for the family room, but I'll be sticking with brighter bulbs in the kitchen. That's the room with the dimmer switch and they perform well in that aspect. If the energy saving and life live up to the claims, I'd like to look at the bright white version for the kitchen.

Solved My Dimming Problem
In the package you get three individually boxed flood light bulbs from Philips. They all have an E26 sized base, which is the standard base size for all ‘fist sized’ light bulbs. They are LED, 65W, 6500 Lumens, and a soft white color.I have track lighting in my kitchen, and the previous bulbs were somehow leaking energy, meaning that they would never fully turn off. As such, it was like there was always a night light on in my kitchen. When I installed these bulbs, they solved that problem immediately. The dimming works perfectly, which is nice, because they can get pretty bright. Right now I am keeping them on a setting of 3 out of a possible 7, but I also prefer less light than a lot of people.I am happy with these bulbs since they come from a trusted brand, dim as expected, and are energy efficient. They also fixed my dimming problem. As such, I feel comfortable giving them 5 stars.
