I fly often, and I take my little 4-pound Maltese dog with me. She has a soft-sided carrier that she rides in. While it has a shoulder strap, you'd be amazed at how heavy a little 4-pound dog can get after standing in line for TSA and then walking what feels like a marathon distance to the gate. I found that if I set her carrier on top of my carry on suitcase, she's much easier to manage. Initially, I used bungee cords to hold her on, but those were complicated, and trying to take her bag off my luggage and then put her back on after the flight was just a hassle. Plus, I kept losing bungee cords, and without at least two, the whole setup didn't work. Enter the SOWPOPY Travel Belt for Luggage. It made things ridiculously easy. With the section that slips over the luggage handle, I could just snap the belt around her bag and lift her on and off easily. It holds well too. I had no worries about it slipping or her falling off my carry-on. I will caution people to measure the circumference of their bags, though. This strap is a bit longer than the others I found and it was barely long enough to go around my dog's carrier.

On our lastest trip we utilize the belt and it worked perfectly.It helped make our travel easier with all the luggage we had to haul.

I commonly travel with a rollaboard and a backpack—which I place on top of the rollaboard. The backpack commonly slid off as I wheeled the rollaboard through the airport. But not anymore!!!!! I love this strap which is inexpensive, comes in a variety of colors and holds my backpack beautifully in place!!!! When I am not using the strap, it folds up into a small glass-type case which takes up almost no room!

I carry a mobile office in my 35 Liter backpack. Most of the time I carry it on my back, but there are times when I want to be able to roll it along, giving my back a rest.This strap allows that to happen. It has a bit of elasticity to it, but not so much that the backpack, holding probably 20+ pounds of gear, is inclined to slide around.The strap length is fully adjustable. About the only things of any concern for me are the clasp, and the possibility of a bag sliding off the piece of luggage, which would likely result in it falling off that luggage. While under pressure it seems entirely unlikely to unbuckle. But unlike some other similar straps, on which both ends of the strap snap together, this buckle involves sliding the head of one end over a metal head on the other. Again, since it's under pressure due to the body and weight of the attached bag, moving it around doesn't seem to lead to that disconnecting, but if that tension were ever released, the possibility of that happening exists. This is of minor concern to me since I think it highly unlikely to occur.The other issue of concern would be if the bag strapped to the luggage were to slide forward. If that were to happen its weight could pull it out of this strap. Bags with their own luggage strap don't have this potential as they attach to the luggage handle directly. Again, this is of only minor concern. But I can imagine that if you were to pull your luggage over a bumpy area, jostling the bag, it could happen.So if you want to strap a bag that doesn't have its own strap to another piece of luggage, this should do the trick.

Thought this would be adjustable to fit over the luggage handle, but wasn't. The pre-sewn loop to slide over the luggage handle was too small to fit over the handle rendering this product useless.

I watched a suitcase come down the luggage carousel and it was opened but mine was safe and secure. Best purchase ever!

I love that the band has a loop that slides over my suitcase handle. Which means I can leave it on there, even if I detach the 2nd bag for a time. You'd have to remove it before you put the handle down but it's easier to manage when your hands are full than one that would have to be held in place while buckling.
