I have an older driver. A Taylor Made R5. I wanted an upgrade and dropped the nearly 700 to buy this club. That’s a big investment. Anyhow, I took the club to the driving range, excited to try it out. I was expecting to add yards to my drive. Be ready! First it’s a new sound with the carbon fiber face. Not that the sound matters much, but it did throw me off a bit. I didn’t add yards, I was consistently 15-20 yards shorter than my other driver. I would alternate from old to new and the results were the same. I ended up returning the club. I didn’t want to spend that kind of money and not get the results. I drive on average 250 - 275 yards. I never hit the new one beyond 250. I just couldn’t get a feel for it. It did seem to be consistently straight, but so was my R5.
