reach, THROW, go
This was easy to use and re-stuff to use again. I bought this to use for help in testing for BSA Swimming merit badge.

Good for short throws not long ones
Worked well for short throws but is too light for longer beyond 20 feet. If you want it to work better for the longer throws add some extra weight (anything that is small and floats) found that that helps bit have thrown a few other bags that are much better at longer distance but for the price it's not terrible.

bag is 4 star, rope is 0 star. Do not use for whitewater! Do Not Buy this product
DO NOT USE FOR moving water or whitewater rescue. Under no circumstance use for kayak, raft, or canoe retrieval or pin situations.***A rescue Bag is a life safety device, as such I believe these bags should be banned.***I missed the return window on the 50' and 70' rope bags so I am stuck with them. Only option is spend the added money to purchase real rescue rope from NRS and place in these bags. I have Been paddling WW since the early 80s, been a WW Kayak instructor, currently Swift Water Rescue certified, video boater and raft guide so I know rescue ropes. I purchased these for training practice, but these are not fit for use.The bag is fairly well made. The ring float and "biner/snap clip" is worthless for WW. The rope is garbage for rescue purposes other than maybe in a swimming pool. No true rescue bag uses this type of rope! The rope does NOT FLOAT On Top of the water and is mostly submerged just below to several inches below in current. This is a cheap paracord style construction with questionable strength. Serious injury or death could occur using this rope in as a real throwbag/rescue rope..
