There are a few reasons why one should opt for this Sandwich maker. First, the power output of 1700 watt is absolutely necessary if you want to grill cafe level sandwiches. You can't do them with those 800 - 900 watt ones. Second - the quality of teflon is very good. It is non sticky, does not require any application of butter or oil to make it non stick. Cleaning is easy. Use a clean cloth and a paper napkin to clean it. Third - the 180 degree open plate gives you the option to grill your meats, vegetables, tikki etc. Very useful. Forth - the buld quality is strong. The hinge seems robust, the handle is large, and is helpful in pressing your sandwich down to get that wedge shape on your bread. Fifth - additional second year warrenty option is a good one. You have to register your product online on their website to claim it though. Sixth - the customer care on their whatsup number is very helpful. When you register your product, make sure you contact them after a week for the confirmation status. For some reason they never send me confirmation of the extended warranty. Now a few cons, - the pre heat time for the sandwich maker varys. Some times, the green light may take as much as 10 minutes, then other day in about 4 minutes. Second, it makes clicking sounds when you power it on like something is knocking inside its components. Don't know why it does that. Overall it is a good product. I bought another one for my family after using it for 2 months.
