DetraPel - Fabric & Leather Protection - Liquid Repellent Spray - 2oz

No marks or stains, extremely effective water repellant for my new shoes. After looking at the website, it also seems like this could have a dozen more use cases since it can be used on all sorts of materials. I emailed the company about my wireless NC headphones... would be awesome if this could repel light rain. I might try it on just the pads first if I don't hear back soon.Room for improvement:-Hard to gauge how much of the bottle you've used. The blue bottle isn't transparent enough, and the label covers the majority of it.- Price. It just cost too much to be used on anything larger than a pair of shoes. I hope this changes, as I'd buy the gallon size for furniture and such. Cut it by 30% and I'll buy it for myself, friends, and family. What a great product.

I had wanted to try the product since I saw it on shark tank. I used the entire bottle on my windbreaker jacket and waited a day to let it dry completely. Unlike the TV demonstrations, my jacket absorbed the rain instead of repelling water as advertised. I was sorely disappointed that the product was so expensive and did not work. It seems that the effectiveness of the product is "hit or miss." If the people at Detra Pel read this review, I please would like my money back.

I really did not like it. I sprayed one of my chairs and that’s all there was in the bottle for. I tried sprinkling water on my chair and water was still being absorbed.

This product is truly amazing. I put it on a new couch. Naturally, 2 days later I spilled wine on it. Not a single stain! The best part is that DetraPel does not change the natural feeling of the fabric once applied. I would definitely recommend this product.

I haven't used it yet; but what can I do with just 2 oz? I've used Liquid Off, this works, and it is 8 fl oz. I've also used Revivex for Gortex jackets and camping gear. This works also, and this is 10 fl oz. So my opinion, DetraPel is not worth the cost, there are similar products that do the same job but without the extreme price per oz. Yikes!

Fall and Winter here in the PNW is often very wet which is unfortunate since my favourite shoes are fabric. I sprayed this on my skechers Bob's BOBS from Skechers Women's Plush-33910 Flat, Black Heather, 11 M US and they were tested not long after and as far as I could tell, it worked amazingly. I even accidentally stepped in a puddle and my feet stayed dry. Make sure you follow all the directions exactly. I did end up using most of the bottle on just this pair, but I really soaked them.

The bottle only had enough for 1 pair of shoes and only 1 shoe of another pair. Only 2 ounces and small spray area. That is why I gave it only 3 stars.

I purchased this product for waterproofing the canvas part of my running shoes and lightweight canvas golf shoes. I've used my golf shoes on a light rainy day, and my feet stayed dry. The water ran off of the shoes and did not penetrate them at all. I'm very pleased with the performance of the product. The only negative thing is the price. $12.99 for 2 oz of product is just a little pricey for me. Other than the price the product is very good. I would have given it a 5 star if it wasn't so expensive.
