The Fall Guy [DVD] [2024]

As the headline says, my granddaughter was absolutely delighted with this film. Although she watches most of her TV and Films through the Amazon Fire Stick on Prime or Disney+, she still loves actually getting a DVD she can hold in her hand. Price was not unreasonable, and it duly arrived on the day of release. What more can you ask?

As others have said the initial batch of these has the wrong disk for the extended version (its got the 4k disk in the box by mistake) so have had to return/refund and will rebuy later when the issue is fixed and I can guarantee it wont be the same

Great fun movie - one for the audiences, not for the critics - but sadly missing the extended cut Blu-ray disc, which is why we ordered this disc! :-( Box wrongly has the extended cut 4K disc, which our player can't player - so as much use as a chocolate teapot for us! ;-) Fortunately, the standard theatrical version came correctly on Blu-ray disc, so we watched this again (great fun). Requested that the correct extended cut Blu-ray disc be sent as soon as possible, hope this will come soon!

Universal have obviously goofed by putting the extended version on a 4K disk when you buy the standard Blu Ray edition, how could they be expecting to sell the 4K version for £10 more? Reminds me of the time they released Jurassic Park in 3D without a 2D disc, in that case they sent out a free replacement so maybe they will do the same here. That aside, I watched the extended version at a friend's and thoroughly enjoyed it. I did not even find that version too long so I guess the complaints over the length must come from a bit of a lack of enjoyment so are subjective. After checking out the standard edition I found that 2 of my favourite bits were missing, most notably the extended "Dundee" sequence with extra unicorns which was my favourite part of the whole film. So I recommend the extended one as the better version, it has more depth and more action. Over all it's not perfect but it has style, good action, some decent dialogue and is genuinely amusing all the way through.

I've watched it twice already and thoroughly enjoyed the film each time! Great acting, fantastic stunts, lots of fun comedic acting from Ryan Gosling (plus great stunt work from him). The chemistry between him and Emily Blunt is off the scale and totally believable. Lots of terrific action, stunts and romance - a perfect movie!

Loved the film, great story line, stunts and fantastic cast. I also ordered blue ray and got a disc in it with an extended cut that is 4k so I can't watch it. Still able to watch the theatrical version and some bonus material on the actual blu ray disc so not a total loss and definitely still worth the money.

So excited as loved this in the cinema and pre ordered. Its blu ray extended cut in the description but in the box its 4k ultra so no good. You don't find out until you open the box. Very disappointed and not as shown

The film is okay. Funny in places and a lot going on, but the extended length version is a 4K disc and therefore incompatible with a standard Blu-ray player. I find that extremely disappointing as it means I cannot watch it! Happily, the main Blu-ray Disc has the theatrical release and bonus features but the product is definitely not as advertised.
