These come compressed in the flat plastic package. Half expanded and the other half are total junk. Seller sent email to use moisture and/or heat to get them to expand...that wouldn't work at all. The foam has degraded past the point of bringing them back to life. Also, they are not dense foam. Do Not buy!

If you're looking at these soundproofing panels then you probably have a simple need, to reduce sound bouncing around your space. But you can't afford the panels that a professional studio would install. These fit the bill perfectly. They are shaped foam panels with adhesive on the back, so installation is simple and easy. As far as soundproofing, there is a bit of a science to it but in my office where they are installed, my family says they can tell a difference when I'm having one of my late-night gaming sessions with friends. On camera they look like foam panels you would see in any sound studio so why spend extra money when these get the job done just fine.

Product, once fluffed up doesn't look anywhere near the photo. I understand these are 1in, but with the photo it would lead you to believe that they were 1in before the actual pattern started. I did end up using them, but I don't think I'd buy them again.

These panels are very easy to install, the adhesive works really well unless you try to move them. I had to take a couple down to adjustment them and the adhesive didn't stick again. A little spray glue and I was back in business. They are blocking some sound (I hung them in the closet where I have my washer & dryer) but not all. I think to completely block the sound of the washer and dryer I would need to line all four walls. Overall I'm happy with the value and the product.

Once the foam expands, you are ready to install. We had an inside tankless hot water heater. It was really loud so we put a cabinet around. The difference was the foam as we put inside the cabinet . You could hardly hear the heater now. Excellent product!

The pricing was pretty decent. But, the quality lines up with the pricing.80% of my 24 pieces don't nicely line up.The foam spikes are too thin (picture has them significantly larger the. They actual are).Due to compressed shipping, some spikes have never recovered (~4 days later).Do they reduce noise? Not really... granted I've only put up 14 of my 24. But 10 more are not going to make much more of an impact. Pick something different.Other notes: they would make decent foam inserts for cosplay. But suck for what they're being sold for.
