I carefully read the reviews and downloaded the manual before purchasing the Brightlink HDMI Splitter - 1 splitter/4 receivers.  My concern?  Would this system work via the Cat5e cables installed in the walls when our home was built 13 years ago?  After receiving and trying the system, the answer is YES.  Connected the cables and module at the TV location, powered things up and - it just works!  Quality is good and it's a great solution for sharing access to a Tivo Mini in multiple locations throughout our home.  The real bonus is the included IR transmit/receive capability allowing remote control of the Tivo Mini from whichever TV location you happen to be at.A couple of notes:1.  If the Cat 5e (or Cat 6) cables are currently plugged into a network switch, they must be unplugged and connected directly to the HDMI splitter.  While connected this way it means these cables will not function as network connections.  Plan accordingly.2. You must have power for the receiver module at the TV location.  Not a problem for our set-up, but just be aware of that requirement3. I tried "extending" the solution via wifi to another location.  No dice, but it was a quick experiment and there's a chance I misconfigured something.Overall - very pleased - a cost-effective solution to making programming available where it's needed.

Works great even with displays of different resolution.  It does run hot though.  Hopefully this will not shorten the life of the device.
