We'll Prescribe You a Cat Hardcover – September 3, 2024

What an unusual book! I wasn’t sure at first if I could get into the story, but it soon made sense and I could hardly put the book down. The storytelling was very smooth and somewhat lyrical. I am hoping for a ‘We’ll Prescribe You a Cat: Book 2.’

Cat lovers will enjoy this charming collection of stories about how cats can change lives. It is translated from the original Japanese and I think some things may have been lost in translation because some details in the story were sometimes unclear. However, overall, I'm glad I read the book and would be interested in reading the next in the series when it comes out. There is a bit of magical realism to the book which becomes more evident in the last story.

Being a cat owner all my life I have always enjoyed all the various personalities of the cats I have been privileged to know. This was such a great fun and short read!! Loved the way everything is a tangled web of relationships or acquaintances. Highly recommend!!

These short stories were readable but I never really got into this book. It would probably be more enjoyable for a teen reader or a romance reader

The layers of reality and time and space overlapping but not, are intriguing. What do any of us need and want but connection? This is a heartwarming and comforting book—especially for this of us who have regrets, have grief or are troubled in some way. So—everyone.

I was very skeptical when I first selected this book. I can say now after finishing it, I am happy I put in the time. I think most will like this book. To see the story come full circle has truly satisfied my mind. Thank you for this enjoyable read. And thank you to all the Cats.

I purchased this to have something to read on a plane. I believe I heard about it from a program on NPR and it sounded cute. Easy read and cute concept
