Bought these for my husband who’s taken up swimming more regularly. Water trapped in his ears was a common problem, but these have eradicated it. Very good quality and highly recommended.

Like all these types of earplugs, they only work properly if they fit your ears perfectly. Personally, I’ve ended up with different makes for each ear & the sizes vary from make to make also. One just has to persevere to find what works for you, or stop swimming and showering! These do work for one of my ears, but having to buy so many different makes rather negates the need for the case.

I recently purchased the Alpine WaterSafe Pro Ear Plugs for Surfing and Swimming, and while they started off promising, I was ultimately disappointed by their durability. Here’s my detailed review: What I Like: • Comfortable Fit: The ear plugs are very comfortable to wear, even for long sessions in the water. They fit snugly without causing irritation, making them ideal for swimming and surfing. • Good Water Protection: Initially, they performed well at keeping water out of my ears, helping to prevent ear infections and discomfort during and after water activities. • Secure Hold: The plugs stayed in place during active use, even while swimming, diving, or surfing, which is a key feature for any water sports gear. What I Dislike: • Poor Durability: After less than a year of use — and fewer than 50 water sessions — the magnets rusted. This made the ear plugs unusable and unsafe to wear. • Not Built for Long-Term Use: Considering they are designed for water sports, I expected better resistance to moisture and corrosion. The rusting issue is disappointing, especially for a product marketed as premium. • Price vs Longevity: Given the relatively high price, I expected better durability. Needing to replace them after limited use makes them a poor long-term investment. Value for Money: While the Alpine WaterSafe Pro Ear Plugs are comfortable and effective at first, their short lifespan significantly affects their overall value for money. For a premium-priced product, better longevity is expected. Conclusion: Overall, I was initially pleased with the Alpine WaterSafe Pro Ear Plugs for their comfort and performance in the water. However, the major durability issue — rusted magnets after less than a year — makes them a disappointing purchase, also magnets doesn't work anymore. They may work well for short-term or occasional use, but if you plan to use them regularly, they may not last. Would I buy it again? No, I would look for a more durable alternative.

Excellent product works as descibed

Great earplugs and made sure I looked after them with fresh water rinsing. 2 stars as the magnet rusted away and the plugs failed within a year. Design fault for sure.

Tijdens het golfsurfen probeer ik om altijd mijn oren te beschermen, omdat ik duizelig word als er (koud) water inkomt. Ik gebruikte eerder de surfears, maar ben nu overgestapt op de Alpine waterSafe Pro, en beveel deze echt aan. Persoonlijk vind ik dat ze veel beter lijven zitten. Ze houden het water goed buiten, en blijven goed zitten. Ik heb ze al aangehouden voor langere sessies van 3 uur, en ook toen had ik geen last.

Ich gehe für mein Leben gern schwimmen. Seit einigen Jahren habe ich jedoch regelmäßig Probleme mit meinen Ohren und sitze viel zu häufig beim HNO. Dieser empfahl mir speziell angepassten Gehörschutz. Ich war ein wenig skeptisch und muss zugeben dass mir der Preis zu happig erschien und suchte stattdessen etwas vergleichbares. Dieser Gehörschutz ist super!!! Habe ihn sofort im Freibad ausprobiert. Er sitzt super sicher. Drückt nicht und rutscht auch nicht. Die Bänder geben zusätzliche Sicherheit und dank der Magneten habe ich ihn außerhalb des Wassers am Badeanzug festgemacht. Sie schwimmen wirklich auch auf den Wasser falls sie dich mal ins Wasser fallen. Selbst springen war möglich und der ganze Gehörgang blieb trocken. Mit meinen Kindern konnte ich mich normal unterhalten, da die Stimmen dennoch weitergeleitet werden. Ich bin begeistert und werde beim nächsten Termin beim HNO auch dort positiv davon berichten.

This product is a game changer! I have tried a couple of different ear plugs, even expensive molded ones by Eartune) that claim to let the sound in while keeping the water out, but none of them lived up to the hype like these. And, they are constructed well at a competitive price. The magnetic feature was an unexpected bonus. Having them cling to each other makes it less likely to lose them. I also like the fact that you have the option of medium and large ear tips that pop on or off easily. Don’t blame me if you take my advice and lose one, but I found that wearing them without the leash attached works well, even when duck diving or, unfortunately, wiping out. And, to the young swimmers and surfers out there, if you are in the water a lot, WEAR EARPLUGS. At 48, I have pretty bad tinnitus due to surfer’s ear (exostosis), which I didn’t even know was a thing until I was diagnosed by an ENT two years ago. Granted, I have spent a LOT of time in the water (as much as possible every summer of my life, as a lifeguard and competitive swimmer during high school and college, and off and on as a surfer and lap swimmer in my adult years). I’ll still probably wear the Eartunes when I’m lap swimming because the seal is perfect and the quiet is nice, but all other times, it’ll be Alpine all the way!
