From the Kane Chronicles: Brooklyn House Magician's Manual-An Official Rick Riordan Companion Book: Your Guide to Egyptian Gods & Creatures, Glyphs & Spells, and More

This book is so cute and I coupled it with an idea I piggy backed from a celebrity to make a unique gift. I purchased two cloth sacks and bought the ingredients for two of the experiments and separated them in the bags and also put the name of the experiment on the bag and the page number. Such a cool idea because once they get the whole present they are ready to go for at least two. I also chose two of them that had an ingredient which you could find in some of the others like wood skewers, rubber bands, glue, etc.

I think I got the reading order between this and that mixed up, but I will be reading that one next.Upon opening the book, a note told me to put my "paw" on the cover, because finding the book alerted monsters. I did as instructed and nothing happened. 0/10, would not recommend. (haha)The book is filled with short stories that are a few pages long, at most, which provide tips and explanations for new magicians, but some of them also seem like they're there just for fun. There are also quizzes and a couple puzzles about the gods. If you paid attention while reading the trilogy, they're easy. If you did not read the trilogy, go read that first. This is AFTER the trilogy.In addition to the intended stories, there's an amusing overarching plot where Setne is reading the book and leaving notes about an evil plot. The set up for this made it clear to me that Demigods & Magicians should probably be read first, because Setne was never captured by the end of the trilogy.Overall, this is a quick, fun read.

Nice flavor and a fun read for fans of Percy Jackson, Heroes of Olympus, and Kane Chronicles. It was fun and funny just like the one for camp half blood. Over all this book was great!

Okay, my eight year old daughter is really into mythology and adores these books. She finds them hysterical, and so do I. The Valhalla one about Norse mythology is another great buy!

I had received the book Brooklyn Housemagigian's manual and in excellent condition.Looks very interesting and eager to read it.Very nicely made book sturdy..Worth the wait.

I chose this rating because it's fine. It's a good read to learn Egypt mythology but sometimes I can get a little bored. But I recommend it to any who are fans of the Kane Chronicles

My 10-year old son loved this book so much, he read it in one day, and he doesn't usually enjoy reading.

a great addition to the series if you are a fan or want an introduction to ancient egyptian mythology. enjoyed the books this is a good companion

Básicamente compro los libros de este autor por colección y creo que este verdaderamente vale la pena. Obviando que el contenido es tan divertido como el autor siempre nos ha acostumbrado, las ilustraciones aunque no son a color son la cosa más linda. Y amo la forma en que juegan con el texto según los capítulos, de lo que traten y quién esté hablando. Además es de tapa dura y trae al final en orden alfabético datos generales sobre los magos.
