As is typical with ICECO, this is a robust little DV Refer. It is well made, with great, strong handles, and an all-aluminum case. The running noise is minimal and generally lasts a couple of minutes, and then it shuts the running compressor down. I did not time the running vs not running times, but I would say it is a couple of hours. I have mine in my Honda Element micro camper and sleep next to it, no issues with it waking me up. I have another larger ICECO, and both have been great.

This little fridge/freezer is amazing! I originally purchased the ICECO APL 20 for car camping in August 2024. Then Hurricane Helene hit and destroyed my car, my house, nearly everything. I have been living in shelters & hotels since. (Picture is of my hotel ‘kitchen’ set up at the hotel I’m currently at.) The night of the Hurricane, I put as many valuable items as I could on higher ground. Never expecting the waters to reach upward of 5’, I thought the tops of my dressers would suffice for most of my belongings. Out of room, I placed my ICECO APL 20 on top of my bed in hopes it wouldn’t fall off into the water. When I returned to my house the next day, EVERYTHING on top of my dressers were destroyed as the flood waters tipped them all over. My mattress floated & my ICECO APL 20 was saved though!!! Being displaced awaiting on FEMA assistance, I’ve had to move around to several shelters and hotels. I’ve brought my ICECO APL 20 with me and it’s been a lifesaver as far as its versatility; when at a shelter, I’ve been able to store food & not be reliant upon inconsistent food delivery service. And when at hotels, I’ve utilized it as a freezer to store meats, pizza, breakfast bar items & donated foods for the days when food delivery service does not show. Soon I’ll be traveling with my ICECO APL 20 & realized I lost the vehicle charging cable in the flood so I called ICECO Customer Service. I only called customer service to make sure I didn’t order the wrong cable. I never imagined what happened next. Val & Mark with ICECO Customer Service, handled my concerns with compassion & enthusiasm in helping resolve my issue of needing a vehicle charging cable and asked me to give them a day to ask their managers if they could help me out with a warranty claim on the missing cable. They promptly y emailed me & then followed up with a telephone call and with management approval, they’re honoring a warranty claim due to the cable being destroyed - without my having to send them the damaged cable in because of the extraordinary circumstances. I was already impressed with ICECO’s products so It’s comforting to know that the company as a whole matches their quality products with excellent customer service and support. Fantastic overall experience. I cannot wait to be able to afford the ICECO APL 35 for car camping with my new car and continue using the APL 20 as a mini-freezer. I use this thing a lot for work and family outings. I absolutely love it. At first I didn’t understand the two compartments and thought it was duel zone. I use the upper compartment for fruits or things I don’t want crushed and I love it. The only thing I don’t like is the older iceco wires don’t fit completely flush in the socket, the aluminum will blind you when sunlight hits it, and it scratches easy. I do like that it reaches temperature very fast, the app is useful to make sure it’s still running in the back of my truck, and it’s really light. It holds more than enough for a family of four to a day at the pool or park.

Just took the Iceco on its first road trip during some hot muggy summer days. The fridge and the external Iceco battery performed like a champ. It was such a pleasure to have fresh food and cold water on hand and to keep leftovers from the day before. It allowed us to take advantage of picnic tables in remote locations and not worry about finding food. Plugged the battery into the vehicle, and the fridge into the battery. The fridge ran off the battery during all of the stops, some lasting 2-3 hours, and got to about 60-70% charge by the end of the day. It recharged pretty quickly at night in the hotel room. Filled empty fridge space as much as possible with chilled water bottles, to put less strain on the motor and battery. Fridge was very quiet - couldn’t hear it while on the road. It is also light enough for one person to move it to and from the vehicle - a big help. The app was great for checking the internal temperature if necessary.

We've been using it for several months on occasional basis when we need to have longer drive for groceries. At first it looks small but it can pack more items than expected. Very pretty and well made too. I like the lid can stay open. We eventaully bought a portable Anker C300 power station for it. And it runs quite efficiently and get cool very fast. I hope it will last for a long time as it's still quite expensive with a discount (that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 due to the price tag)
