Q: How do they fasten or tighten?

The zip goes all the way to the top then they have a velcro attachment aswell

Q: Has anyone else got there feet soaking wet in these?. Just got rained on and not happy. Tightened the toe protectors to see if any difference 🤔

Yes boots are crap in rain my feet got soaked the other week and when I got home I took the boots and had to tip water out of them.

Q: Are the uk 12 a propper fit

I found them very good---I am really a size 10 / 11 BUT with various old age problems like bunions and foot "spread" I go for larger sizes-and put in an insole. I think the second pair of these that I bought-I went for a 13 !!-----but these also fit very well-hope this helps-Bob (Dr.Bob)
