Great purchase, poor USB execution 😕
I got 2 of these for my daughter's (age 13 and 9). It's great for streaming, online games, schoolwork etc. Not super powerful but great for their needs. Speedy, and they love the touchscreen and the ability to flip the keyboard around. We will be using these on vacation this summer.NOTE: the free flash drive is hidden. It doesn't look like most flash drives, it actually is the size and shape of a credit card that's a white/light beige color. And they taped it to the outside of the box! Who would think to look there for that? I almost threw them out still attached to the box because it almost looks like it's part of the shipping tape or something. They could have done a better job with that, but I'm not annoyed enough to take off a star. Otherwise, it's a good machine and should last for a while.

This chromebook is well made and heavy.
I don't enjoy using chromebooks, but when I tried a Windows laptop, MS encrypted the drive and required a 24 digit key each time I wanted to use it. Obviously this was not supposed to happen, but it did and I could not solve the problem, so I returned it and bought a chromebook which MS cannot molest. I wanted this to read digital books and scientific papers and little else. It has a very nice, sharp screen, so it works for my purpose. It also can be positioned several ways, due to the 180 degree hinge. I found that turning it to the tablet configuration was not a good solution, but other ways work well. As an OS, chrome strikes me as primitive and tedious. But, MS cannot turn on bitlocker for this computer.

Couldnt be happier
Bought this as a personal laptop. Many of the reviews at the time said things like flimsy etc. This is a solid well made laptop for half the price of a name brand windows laptop. Obviously the functionality of Chrome is different but you get used to it quickly. Some functions are superior to Windows

Lenovo Flex 5i - very nice Chromebook
Before I get to my review, please be aware that this 5i Chromebook was released on 3/11/2024. And at the writing of this review, that the majority of the reviews are for the previous 2022 version. They are both mixed together. At first, only the reviews for the newer model were listed. And for whatever reason, both versions are available on the same Amazon page. They are very different units and confusing to folks. If you choose the blue unit, it is the older, smaller unit. Someone at Amazon should clean this up.Given this, I purchased the newest release later March 2024 and have been very pleased with the unit. The 14” screen size is in the sweet spot - not too big, not too small. I like the touch screen and that it is a 2 in 1. The keyboard is backlit, which is a great feature. The performance is more than adequate for a Chromebook. I am not gaming on it, so I can’t speak to that. To me a Chromebook is not a gaming machine. The only complaint is the bonus hotcard included with the unit. It is junk. Other than that, a very nice unit.

Easy set up. Great Price!
I bought this for my elder mom to use and loved it so much that I bought a second one for myself! My mom spends a lot of time playing word games these days and I needed a tablet to fold and set on my piano for some online lessons. This fits both our needs perfectly!

Crap
I have had this about 4 months and the bottom part of screen is busted around the hinge. They say it's physical damage. Why is some thing like this not built better to last more than 4 months. I spent $450 on some thing that lasted 4 months. Such a shame!!!! If I could give it less than a 1 star I would. Shame on a company and a laptop computer company to take such advantage of people that work so hard for their money!! Take it from me. Do NOT purchase this. Very poor quality.

The best Chromebook I've tried
Nice chromebook with good price. Resolution and quality of the display is a really high light. Not sure if the seller mentioned this laptop is equipped with the ISO keyboard, which is not my preference ANSI one. But this is not a major problem to me, still satisfied with this nice laptop.

Reliable, vibrant, solid
Really happy with my purchase of this Lenovo Chromebook Plus. I am surprised that the listing here doesn’t talk at all about its Chromebook Plus status and what that means… the listing doesn’t event outright call it a Chromebook, but it is! And it’s a good one. Fast, brilliant screen, a handsome sturdy chassis, good type feel (and backlit keys). The only drawback for me so far is its weight but for all the power and functionality I just described, it’s worth it.
