Perfect shape
Great size and shape for scooping out ice cream. keeps it fresh too. Wish it wasn’t plastic but at least the food going in is hot and not cold.

A Must Have when making your own ice cream
So you've taken the plunge and bought your own ice cream machine. Maybe you've purchased incredible ice cream making recipe books, such as Lebovitz' The Perfect Scoop (Note-- if you haven't yet, you should). Maybe you even splurged on a compressor-based ice cream unit, so you could make glorious, creamy perfection right at home, batch after batch. And you ask yourself, do I REALLY need these ice cream containers? I mean, wouldn't just any old tupperware do?My friends, ask yourself this. Suppose you were going to a swanky party. You bought a gorgeous dress, got your hair done, new shoes . . . and you forget the mascara. Is mascara REALLY that important? I mean, you have everything else. Well, ahem. All that equipment isn't going to do much good if you neglect the details. Splurge, spend the money, and finish up your ice cream experience by getting these ice cream tubs. Why they are amazing:1. Each tub is actually 3 parts-- the inside part, where the actual ice cream goes (the blue part on mine), a lid that snaps nicely into place and keeps air from getting in and making the product stale, and an outer container that creates an "air pocket" to protect the ice cream from the freezer itself. This ensures that the fluctuating cooling and defrosting of the freezer will not affect the ice cream and make it icy.2. The inside of the tubs, where you actually place the ice cream, is softly rounded on the edges. This means no more trying to squash your rounded ice cream scoop into the corners of ice cream containers. You get every last drop with this design.3. I mentioned it briefly in #1 describing the design of the holders, but that air pocket surrounding the blue ice cream holder is really incredible. Don't you hate it when you open a box of ice cream, and it has that nasty, gummy layer of ice on top from freezer fluctuation? That's a thing of the past. The air layer protects the ice cream from the temperature fluctuations and the freezer taste that sometimes bought ice creams get.4. Fits perfectly on the door of the freezer. The shape of this thing is kind of wonky, and I wondered at first, why is it shaped this way? But voila! The long, thin design helps it fit perfect along the door of your freezer, conveniently stackable. It's heavy duty and doesn't get squished when you put something else on top of it.5. These pictures show when I first put the ice cream from my ice cream maker into the tub. Then an hour later. Then the next day (different flavor because I made 2 but you get the idea). Look what a difference it made in the final product to rest in this tub overnight. It kept my ice cream light, fluffy, and airy. In short, I made divine ice cream that is now safely resting in the freezer for whenever the craving hits.Do yourself a favor. If you're moseying into the foray of homemade ice cream, get these containers. They last forever and take your ice cream from "This is really good!" to, *sound of flatlining* Yes. It's that good. And when you are wearing the proverbial mascara to the ball, you'll be glad you didn't leave it off. ;)

Really pleased with these clever containers (updated)
I love these!! Update is not due to any criticism, but because I discovered a couple of things that might benefit others regarding the lid staying in place. Mine are fine,At first I was not sure that these would work because I read a couple of comments saying that the lid did not seem to stay on evenly. But I ordered them anyway because they were so attractive.Hope these simple tips about the secureness of the lid help:One: Make sure you do not overload the container and that the edges are clean before you put the lid on.Two: The lid only goes on ONE way. I'm not speaking of upside down or right side up (smile) as that would be fairly obvious. It would seem you could put it on either side, (with the latch tab going either direction,) as the shape is perfectly oval… but that's simply not so. Make sure the lid latch tab is facing the side of the colored inner bin that has a small indent.I got the blue ones. I love the design of these and the insulating surrounding outer bin. It is much easier to remove the ice cream from the container for serving, due to the slim design and the stackable compact size that fits nicely in my ultra-small freezer.I did not bother to put anything like plastic or parchment paper (as some people recommended) and it did not matter. No ice crystals, even though we had it in the fridge for over a week.I would order more of these if I did not live in a small household, or as a classy gift with the matching scoop.I' would even be nice to put store-bought ice cream in this, and toss the original box that sometimes turns into a soaked cardboard mess. I ordered the matching ice cream scoop and it looks so nice! Please note, I do not represent this company, (smiles); just a very pleased customer.

I hope you’re hungry for plastic— read until the bottom!!
** UPDATED @ bottom **Sturdy feel to them… sleek nice design. Had no issue making ice cream and fitting it in. Def could fit 1.5 qt. BUT !!!!!!!!!!! My first time scooping out ice cream the plastic from inside container scrapped off with it. I was shocked, so I tried just a metal spoon thinking maybe I was too rough with my ice cream scooper. AGAIN plastic came off. Returning and disappointed :(***** Update —- after this review the company reached out and provided a full refund and to keep the containers for a different household use. Great communication, empathy and offered to send me a new product to give their company another chance. Besides this isolated issues this is what I’m looking for in a company when something hiccups. Impressed and will retry their products solely due to that customer service treatment.
