This is another excellent book for beginners. The patterns are easy to understand and follow. Many great patterns to cover every member of your family or friends. I highly recommend it!

Overall this book is fantastic. It includes many step by step photos and instructions for just about everything a beginning knitter would need to know for both English and Continental styles. The key for pattern abbreviations on the sleeve cover was genius. There are many projects for the total novice (level 1) that then allows you to build skills as you progress to gradually more complex projects (levels 2-4). The only small challenge I've had is the hat project on pg 40 has us change to double pointed needles when the stitches no longer fit comfortably on circular needles. There are instructions for each of those techniques, however, there is no demonstration on how to make that transition from one to another. For this... I'll need to "phone a friend". I will say, I'm so impressed by this book that I went back and another bought one for my sister.

Patterns are easy and fun. I barely knew how to knit and can follow them. The written directions on knitting can be hard to follow but that probably has to do with how I learn.

Great selection of patterns for beginners.

While there are many attractive patterns included, there’s one surprise. Each uses the referenced brand yarn, which is 3-ply and worked with #7 needles. The images shown are are beautifully knitted but I question how “quickly” these projects can be completed. My mistake for not researching this yarn and the book more in advance.

I was very pleased witht he variety of patterns in this book.They are beginner patterns but can be given an upgradedlook with fine yarns. It is worth buying.

Very informative and plenty of patterns.

Oh my goodness, I love this book! I am a “return to” knitter who never went beyond dishcloths and a scarf here and there. I have been looking for a book with do able patterns for a beginner plus....until now, mostly one or two patterns that struck my fancy were all that I could find. Well, I purchased this book, and can not believe how many patterns I want to make! I would recommend this to any knitter who wants to go beyond the simple dishcloth to a variety of hats, cowls, even a pillow pattern and slippers. Start at the beginning and learn from your projects! Knitting is just a knit or a purl stitch that is manipulated in different ways. It helps you relax while keeping your mind active. Start small and before long you will be an advanced knitter surprising your family and friends with your creations. I can’t wait to get started! Hope you love this book as much as me!

There are some lovely patterns in this book. Easy to follow instructions, good pictures.

No he tenido tiempo para comprobar si las instrucciones son correctas, pero los diseños me parecen a primera vista algo repetitivos y demasiado sencillos. Ya que es un libro para principiantes, a lo mejor es por eso. Personalmente no veo nada bonito para confeccionar.

Love the easy patterns In this book

A great first knitting book. I love that as someone new to knitting, I can make useful items and modern scarves and shawls straight away.Includes the details of all materials for each project. Contains the technical information you might need to complete the projects at the front of the book, as well as little tips to help with specific projects.The projects begin with easy patterns and become progressively more difficult. I'm enjoying working my way slowly through the book and learning so much a long the way.
