Instructions a little sketchy but I'm old. Otherwise seems fine.

I have used hydrogel on several phones so I thought my Pixel 8a deserved them too. Even when removing or installing my case the film did not interfere or lift, very happy.The film goes on easy without trapped dust or bubbles if you follow the directions and maybe watch a video or two for tips and a visual lesson. If you have a tiny bubble or two they will disappear quickly.These films self heal if you get a little nick and you don't have to replace as often as glass because it cracked or starts to trap crud around the edge. I have actually never used more than one from a kit - they are that good.

The "Fanticstic" (sp) Hydrogel Film is the worst film I've installed and I have installed many. Difficult positioning and separation process, film doesn't cover the entire face of the phone, marginal adhesion. Just installed the second one after the first started to peel away and it has manufacturing flaws ( surface streaks which are visible with the screen and off ) beyond the dozens of bubbles which were worse than I'd ever experienced with any other film. I trust that these will go away and I'll have some protection until I buy a better film. Well, at least they are cheap.

This is a great screen protector! And as long as you watch a video on how to put it on, you shouldn't have an issue like others have said. Although I did have trouble loading the how to video from the company, all you have to do is search "how to install hydrogel screen protector" on youtube. And all bubbles dissappear within a day of putting it on. I was actually really surprised and thought I messed up, but all the little imperfections were gone after a few hours. It also works well with fingerprint functionality, I haven't had any issues. It's not peeling off and works just fine with my case as well.

I used to use plastic screen protectors, but when the tempered glass ones came around, I switched. Unfortunately it seems like the glass ones I've purchased recently are all super thin and extra-fragile. I thought this might be a good change of pace.On the plus side, it was relatively easy to apply. It did a pretty good job of getting rid of bubbles on its own, but I did use the included applicator to help coax them out. It feels perfectly good on my fingers and I haven't noticed any issues with it not tracking touch correctly.One issue, though, is that it's "hydrogel" (rubbery plastic) it will leave dents or scratches. If you pushed your fingernail into it, for example, you'd just be left with a mark. It wouldn't rebound and re-flatten.The other thing is that the front camera hole cutout doesn't match up correctly. I triple-checked that I selected the correct year and model of my phone, but I'm still left with a hole above my actual camera cutout. It's perfectly clear, though, so my photos still look fine. Maybe it would matter more on a different phone with a better front-facing camera.***********6-week update:There are definitely a ton of dents and scratches on this thing. True that my screen was protected, but I definitely think I'll have to replace this sooner than later. I took it from 3 stars to 2

Love the protection the film offers and doesn't crack like regular screen protectors.
