awesome
This is an awesome product, I wanted something I could monitor, my original system worked great, but was completely manual ( I couldn’t delay for rain) without being there to shut it off, we take care of our grandkids two days a week and are away from home, I wanted something that I could shut off if it was going to rain while we were away, so I bought this, what I was not expecting was that it would not water on its own if you set up that parameter, as in when you set up the app it you indicate the town you live in, it’s updated by the weather forecast for your location, and will automatically delay watering, also let’s me know when it turns on and off, how much water has been used! It was a snap to setup, use’s our WiFi, it has a five year warranty, the only thing I’m sorry about is that I didn’t buy this sooner, it is truly set it and forget it, wow who knew something so wonderful at such a reasonable price, the brass fittings make it quite durable, there is no screen that becomes obscured during the bright sun, as all the functionality is on your phone, you can also operate it manually both on the app and at device, this is an amazing design, it operates amazingly, thank you for a great experience.

App controlled timer works really well and saved my plants over several vacations
I've used this timer for our deck planters (7 large hanging planters + 12 large pots) for the last month. I also purchased a drip irrigation kit which includes a 1/2" feeder line and roughly 200 ft of 1/4" hose and dozens of drippers. The hardest part was setting up all the hose and then having to order another 100' of the 1/4 hose because I ran out. This wifi timer was the easiest part of the setup and frankly is the thing that makes it all work. It saves me at least 15 minutes every day watering all the planters and the peace of mind alone is worth the price. We went on vacation for 5 days and i turned on notifications in the app so it let me know when it was running - kept my plants from dying during the heat wave.Set-up: 9/10 - the app took a little getting used to but it makes sense to me now. Each side is treated separately (you can name them) and you can set up as many individual programs you want and say which days you want them to run.Ease of Use: 10/10 - I added a morning program and an evening program that run every day, 5 minutes each. I also turned on app notifications so it tells me when it starts and when it finishes. I can also go in the app and look to see how much water it used - this is peace of mind, I've slowly dialed it in and it now uses around 4.7 gallons vs 10 that I originally used when I did it manually. I check it every couple days - i figure if the tubing popped a leak anywhere I'd see that number shoot up.I don't use this feature a lot but its there - there is a manual button on the unit itself to turn it on. This was invaluable when I was first setting up my drip irrigation system. The app does track water usage even in manual mode which is a cool feature. The button requires a firm push so it'd be really hard to accidentally press it which again is nice peace of mind.Features: 8/10 - I REALLY wish it would self adjust based on weather forecast. There is a moisture sensor you can buy separately and I believe that will get me the feature I want so I'm going to order it and try it out. My work around has been to add a 3rd program mid-day that is turned off. When its over 95 for the day, I just turn click the program to enable it and voila, my plants get the additional water they need. If its raining, there are 3 icons at the bottom of the app under Plan where you can select rain delay for 24, 48, or 72 hours. I've used it and it works well.Overall: 9/10 - I loved this enough to buy the single version for my planters in the front. I've already mapped out a DIY irrigation system for my back lawn and plan to expand my system in the fall. Our plants are bigger than they've ever been and we've received a lot of compliments from our neighbors and friends.

Great product with even better customer support!
Over the last 3 years I have purchased 6 of the single timer versions of this product plus 2 hubs. We do not have an in-ground sprinkler system and these have worked wonderfully for our drip watering systems at various location in our yard, as well as multiple daily watering for new grass seed where patching bare spots or repairing damage. Each timer can be set up on the phone app with 3 daily schedules (when to start and how long to run), each of which can be on any day or days of the week. Since all of this is wifi instead of bluetooth, you can adjust this from anywhere you have internet access. There are also 3 rain delay choices of 24, 48 and 72 hours so that you can pause the schedules for each timer. Which leads to one of my minor but real disappointments in the app: you have to set the rain delays for each timer. So, in my case, I have to go into the settings for each of the now-eight timers one at a time and hit the rain delay. OMG, if it's raining in the front yard then it's also raining in the side and back yards, just give my the option of a universal switch that affects all the timers as a group! It would also eliminate the air-headed moments where I miss changing one of them as I go thru the whole group. My other minor complaint is that the battery holder is extremely hard to remove. Since it is obviously super-important that the compartment be waterproof, I get it, but I've actually broken a flange on a couple of them while trying to pull it out. I have now learned that it is a a bit easier to put your hands around the unit and push the holder out from the body rather than try to pull it out. And speaking of batteries, it is specified that you should not use rechargeable ones but I have done so from the start without any problems. They last throughout the entire season. I do wish the app would show battery strength tho.I've had one significant issue with the timers, repeated a couple times. and each time their tech support has promptly and thoroughly corrected it. That issue is that the coupling at the top (the part that screws onto the hose bib), can break from the weight and pull of a hose, so you have to be careful to minimize that tension as much as possible. However, each time one of them broke they promptly sent me a replacement timer. BTW, this 2-zone timer has addressed that issue by replacing the plastic coupler with metal one that I assume will hold up much better. So, I cannot recommend these timers strongly enough, especially if you go for the 2-zone model with the metal coupling.
