BERNUnlimited Watts EPS Summer Helmet

First, props to Bern for posting a YouTube video showing how to properly size your head for their helmets. I thought I was an XL, but it turns out I'm "just" a Large. Getting a proper fitting helmet is paramount because when you buy an ill-fitting one you will quickly stop wearing it. As the the Watts EPS Summer Helmet, it is fairly well ventilated while still being snug so my medium length hair doesn't get too damp and I don't look a mess when arriving at work. This is also the only bike helmet that I've ever felt the least bit stylish wearing, which may sound vain but is something I care about as a young professional not wanting everyone at work to think of me as the sweaty cyclist. The visor is a nice touch though it is probably more helpful for gentle rains than sunlight. I see a lot of other people in town wearing the same helmet so apparently these are rapidly growing in popularity as an alternative to the bizarre-looking sporty helmets, just as I see fewer people donning spandex just to take a casual bike ride. Yes, you can wear regular clothes on a bike -- I do it every day. Bikes are for everyone, not just the competitive, and this is a helmet I could see working for almost everyone too.

I was in the market for a nice helmet for downhill MTB riding and also snowboarding in the winter, so the dual sport aspect really appealed to me on this helmet. I measured my large dome at right around the 24" mark and ordered the xxl/xxxl according to the size chart. The helmet fits like a glove and is actually really comfortable to wear. I love the visor in the front to give a little bit of sun glare relief. The summer liner is included with the helmet and is really comfortable around the head, and also has a winter knit liner available separate for winter sports as well. The liners are extremely easy to snap in and out, which makes it really nice to swap it out or wash it. It also has an adjustment knob built in to the back for more adjustment, so even if you are on the ends of the fitment chart, there's room for adjustment. Overall I love the helmet and would recommend to anyone looking for a multi-sport brain bucket to keep you protected.

This helmet is amazing. Although the helmet is on the heavier side it is still very comfy and has great protection! It is definitely worth the price and i would never regret buying this. It may be a bit bulky but that is just extra protection. It also looks great with stickers and works perfectly with a GoPro!

I've been trying to get a 3XL helmet for some time and Bern was the first to come through on fit and style. I've had it out a few times on rides and am very happy with the fit and comfort level.I was concerned initially as the helmet fit perfectly but the chin straps, let out to their longest we bordering on uncomfortably tight. Now however after my last ride they seemed to have relaxed. They are still snug but not digging in under my chin anymore. I'm still thinking if a strap extender were available it would significantly help with my comfort level.But the helmet looks/ wears great and the seller was right on with the selection and delivery.

I am disappointed, as I love this helmet, but the smallest size is way too large. I followed the manufacturer instructions on how to measure the head and pick the appropriate size. My head size fit perfectly into the measurements for the Small/Medium. The helmet arrived and it is so big, that it is even falling off my head at the smallest setting. I'm surprised at this since all of the reviews say that the helmet runs small (!?). I find it runs huge. Such a shame, as it is the cutest helmet out there.

Overall, very happy with this helmet. I initially ordered a L/XL after measuring my head using a tape measure and found that the helmet fit too tightly. After replacing it with an XXL/XXXL I'm much happier with the fit. I just find it odd that this is the largest size they offer especially since I'm an average build and by no means the type that wears XXL of anything.I find this far more stylish than my other mountain bike helmets although I do feel like Marvin the Martian when wearing this since the helmet has far more of a bulbous look than other mountain bike helmets with all the ventilation cut outs. It comes included with a summer liner that can easily be swapped out for a winter liner for the colder months, my only complaint is that the cost of the winter liner is half the price of the helmet itself.All in all, I'd highly recommend the helmet just make sure to measure your head and add another 1/4" to your measurement.

Last night 9OCT2017 I was cycling through the streets of Spain and I got cut off by a delivery driver on a moped. We collided, his moped flipped and, I flew over my handlebars. I flipped and landed in such a way that my head whipped back violently and smashed the pavement. I knew the hit was bad but I didn't feel any pain or experience any head trauma. All in all I am okay save for a bruise on the left butt cheek. It hurts to walk and lay down and sit but im glad I have my life and an intact mind. Ive owned this helmet for a year now and it finally got put to the test.Comfort: Its the most comfortable helmet ive ever owned but it can get hot. In the summer if you ride fast and break a sweat every couple days you should remove the inside lining and wash it. Its very durable and has buttons. On mine, some of the buttons have rusted away and torn out of the fabric, ill have to get a replacement lining.Visor: Be advised this helmet has a visor and if you ride in the drops it will be hard to see whats in front of you.

The helmet is solid and looks good in the box...was very happy with what I saw. Very stylish and got the matte black finish...I tried it on and encountered the problem. I wear size 8 baseball cap, so I know my dome is huge. I purchased the xxl/xxxl helmet... Adjusted as best as possible but did not feel good...then it happened. I looked in the mirror and saw that I looked exactly like Gazoo from the Flintstones... I spent the rest of the evening calling every one "dum dum". Then put it back in...sigh...back to the grind....I give 3 stars for the look in box but not for the feel...the Velcro was ripping my forehead after I removed some extra padding.

C'est le 3ème casque à vélo pour mon mari et enfin, nous avons trouvé le casque parfait !!!Léger, bon look, pas trop gros (Comme d'autres qui se rapprochent plus d'un casque de moto).Mon mari me dit qu'il l'adore à chaque fois qu'il le met. Petit hic : lorsqu'il fait un peu froid, il doit mettre un bonnet en dessous.Très bonne qualité, léger.

Très classe et confortable. Bonne qualité. Cependant il faut savoir que la visière nécessite de relever la tête car elle limite le champ de vision.

This was a present to a friend for his Birthday and by the look on his face when we gave it him, this was exactly what he wanted.He wears it everyday on his London Commute, so we are all please that he can look cool & be safe at the same time now! :)On a more Review like comments : The texture of the outer shell feels great, the finishing is spotless and inside cushioned parts are really confortable.
