Keeps in what needs to be kept in. :)
Oh, the Amazon Essentials Men's Slim-Fit Short-Sleeve Crewneck T-Shirts have turned my husband into a walking billboard for comfort and style! We practically have to pry these shirts off his back to get them in the wash because he loves them so much.I'm starting to think he might be developing a bit of a "T-shirt addiction." He walks around the house wearing them, struts his stuff when he's out and about, and even sleeps in them. If he could, he'd probably wear them to formal events and weddings too!But jokes aside, these shirts are the real deal. The slim fit is just right, making him look like a movie star without the Hollywood price tag. And the best part? They're so affordable that we can buy them in every color imaginable, and he's started a T-shirt rainbow in his wardrobe. In all seriousness, though, these Amazon Essentials T-shirts have become his go-to for everyday wear, and I can't blame him. They're comfortable, stylish, and budget-friendly, making them an unbeatable combo. If you want your man to feel like he's wearing a shirt made of marshmallows while looking like he's ready to walk the runway, these are the way to go. They've turned my husband into a T-shirt enthusiast, and I have to say, I'm not complaining!

Happy with it
Overall the fit is great. The sleeves could be a bit shorter for my liking but it does have a slim athletic fit which I like.I ordered the large (my typical size) but after a wash it’s a tad tight. Not a huge deal since now I can just use that as an undershirt when I wear a jacket and I have ordered additional shirts in extra large. I would just recommend maybe err on the larger size of debating size vs your typical.Great value.

Not as good as the Russell Athletic Pocket Tee but close, slightly off proportions, I bought more.
I've been purchasing and wearing Russell Athletic Pocket Tee shirts for many years. They're comfortable, they look good, the fit was right in every way. I needed some replacement tees early this year and couldn't find any of the Russells except at truly exorbitant prices and never in my size. I tried a couple of different shirts and was unhappy with them all, they were all the same price or higher as what I used to pay for Russells but the quality wasn't as good and the fit was never quite right.I read the reviews here, especially the review by "Shea" who favorably compared this Amazon Essentials-brand pocket tee to the Russell. So I bought a couple to try them out. They look good, are comfortable, the pocket is fine, construction looks good. The length of the sleeves is perfect, fit around chest and gut are perfect; but the collar is wider and the tails are longer than the Russells, these shirts could lose 2 inches from the tails (the length of the waist) and at least 1 inch of circumference around the neck. Maybe I should try one size smaller? Maybe but I'm afraid the sleeve length would be too short for me.They wash up well and dry in the dryer without trouble (unlike some other shirts I tried which took forever to dry). They seem to be shedding a lot of lint in the dryer, though – I hope that doesn't mean they are going to wear out fast. So: As good as my Russells? No. Better than any other short-sleeve pocket tee in this price range that I've tried? Yes. And since the Russells seem to be gone for good, I bought more of these shirts. They're not perfect but I guess they just don't make 'em like they used to, or in the case of the Russell Athletic Pocket Tee, they don't make 'em at all anymore.

The Essential Facts
All I wear is tee shirts. Okay, to be clear, I usually wear pants - shorts to be precise. I’m not a button down kind of guy. I wear tees from morning to night and sometimes all night, so I wear them out pretty fast. So I’m always here buying more, usually six at a time. I can’t see spending fifty bucks for one brand name shirt when I can get Amazon Essentials that are made in the same factories for a fraction of the price. But the pre-selected sixpacks almost always end up with one or even two colors I don’t want.THE ESSENTIAL SECRETDid you know that there are more than just one selection of their store brand shirts? They don’t make the subtle differences exactly clear so I had to filter by several factors to get a side by side comparison and even then sometimes a shirt of a different color or size can be made in an entirely different factory or even country for that matter. I narrowed it down to three listings, all called Essentials and all so similar it takes some effort to see how they are different. Pocket or no pocket? Moisture wicking or not? Slim fit or regular? Things like that. Most selections came in packs of two. And for a reason I will never understand, if I picked one color they were unbelievably inexpensive but another shade could be as much as double the price.THE REALITYSo they all fit me about the same, yes the slim fit was slightly snugger than the regular but not by much. But here’s the thing that they don’t mention anywhere yet it is extremely important- some of the shirts were as much as three inches shorter than some others, or was it the other way around? This can spell the difference between a display of crack or not with some of my jeans.YES NO MAYBEOf the 3 sets of tees I chose, all from different listings of the same brand these were All I wear is tee shirts. Not consistent
The first shirts I got were great (light blue). Loved the material (very soft) and fit was perfect. So I decided to get some more in different colors. Some of those are great too (gray), but others are terrible (black and green). The material isn’t as soft. The shirt isn’t as long and rides up in the back.I assumed I was purchasing the same shirt, just in a different color. But instead feels more like a totally different (inferior) product.
