hypotenuse issue
90 degree angle was fine. The longest side was uneven and would rock against a straight edge. The 90 degree edges would not rock against the same straight edge. I didn't measure the amount of play but I would guess around 2 thousands of an inch. I like to use dogs in the MFT 3 so with a uneven hypotenuse I deemed the tool as useless and returned it back to Amazon. 2 stars for a good 90 degree edge. I would like to add that you can still square your MFT table with just the 90 degree edges so if you just want to use it for that then it will do its job.

Nice looking, large setup square
Nice looking, large setup square. Bought to square up the guide rail on my track saw table I built. The 90-degree seems to be spot on. The phenolic lamination looks nice an appears to be durable although I have put a few minor scratches on it. To square up a guide rail on a MFT or similar table it really works well. There were several things that I was not expecting based on the product description and one due to poor packaging. First "con" is how it was packaged. I know its a low cost item, but it was inside of a flimsy box, wrapped in a clear plastic bag that was unsealed, with 3 cardboard corner guards. One of the guards was not on the square and it looks as if it was dropped or mishandled as there was a dented corner (the 90-degree, of course). Nothing worthy of a return but it would have been nice if it was better protected for shipping. The second con is what I can only assume was an error with their CNC machine, as one of the three holes was not machined all the way through leaving a ~1/8" ridge around half the perimeter. Again not a big deal, spent 10 minutes filing and sanding it down flush with the rest of the hole. The other assumed CNC malfunction was with the hypotenuse (long leg of the triangle). It had a strong 1/16" higher center that caused the square to rock when I put it against the fence on the table. I tried e-mailing Anderson directly to see if this was normal and never received a response. 30-40 minutes with a file and an actually straight, straight edge and its within any tolerance I will need. If you buy this for use as a "precision layout square" (as advertised) be sure to check it with an actual precision square before you invest a bunch of time in layout.Update with picture, used quite a bit for jigs and tool setup.

Finally arrived on Amazon. Shipped promptly and seems very square. It will make adjustments to my MTF much quicker. I created my own version some time ago, but I prefer this manufactured version.

Not 100% square
Not accurate enough for squaring mft 3 which is the only reason I purchased, checked against three woodpeckers squares and got the same reading. more dust collectors to add to collection

I agree with Tod. You get what you paid for. It is worth keeping, but not as accurate as my small old plastic square that I have been using. It is a monster of a square. The picture doesn't do it justice.
