After 3 uses I can already see a difference.

I love this. So much money saved on getting this salon done. Takes a few sessions but you'll see a noticeable difference after the 3rd or 4th session.

This is very small, so it's perfect for holding for long periods of time without getting tired. It's also ideal for hard-to-reach spots, like underarms or the bikini line - or even the dreaded upper lip fuzz. The cord is long enough that you can use it comfortably on the sofa without stretching too far. It's also very quiet, so you can watch TV or listen to a podcast while using it without issue. The light, as with all similar items, is bright, so you MUST wear protective glasses. I have dark hair on light skin so it works perfectly for me. On a pain level, I don't find it to be much of anything, even on the highest level. As for effectiveness, after consistent use over several months, I have noticed a significant decrease in hair in the areas where I used it - the hair is not completely gone, but it is at least 80% lighter.

I bought the regular Pure almost 2 years ago and it definitely did it’s job, but it ran out of flashes and even though it worked I still need periodic maintenance so I bought the pure mini-not the same! Works fine for maintenance on legs but it has left my under arms very burnt. And on the regular pure I never even used the gentle setting. I guess it’s cheaper for a reason-very disappointed

I've only used this IPL device once, but it was super easy to use. I started pulsing away after I prepped my skin. This is an important step that shouldn't be skipped. The skin absolutely need to cleaned, shaved and dried before using the IPL device, otherwise it be effective. What I liked about this device is that it's small and portable and not like others I've used in the past which had been bigger. Not only that, but this IPL will only work if the head of the handle is positioned well on the skin. If the device sensor isn't well positioned, the light indicator in front of the handle will be red when you try to pulse it to let you know to reposition the handle (it actually won't allow you to pulse if it's red). I thought this was a nice feat, since in this way, I didn't need to have eye wear to protect my eyes from the light. The sensation itself felt like a quick warm pulse; it didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I was able to pulse my one arm to test in about a minute. So far, this unit is working well.

Compared to other IPL hair treatment devices in the same price range this IPL device is missing many of the features. Other similarly priced devices have features like cooling for reducing discomfort, or digital displays for power levels and number of laser flashes. It does have a sensor that determines the intensity needed based on your skin tone, and I like the small size which makes handling it easy. I have noticed that it takes some time to treat larger areas like legs.
