Durham City Through Time
This book is very interesting, especially for any one who has spent their youth (school, work and play) in Durham. The changes are, on the whole, not for the better. It`s such a pity that so many of the old buildings have been demolished and modern buildings erected in their place. A lot of the old shop fronts have been modernised and this has spoilt the character of the city. Claypath (what`s left of it), Silver Street and North Road are good examples.
