Cenote Hydration System Water Storage Bladder for Backpacks and Hydration Sleeves

Better than my camelb...... it is still going after 1 day a week use for over 6 months and has outlasted my previous non disposable ones. Occasionally it does leak from the disc that has the hose is attached but before you put in in your pack just squeeze it and if it drips just unscrew and re-screw it slightly tighter and that solves it after a try or two. I added some teflon tape to perimeter of that disc so I don't even have to worry about that now. This design is well thought out, the fill port is also the tube port so that solves the issue of the ripping seams that occur on other types. Also the mouthpiece is great, perfect double flow design that rotates which is easier than pulling out or a turn type design. I also feel safe that there is no chemicals leaching in the bag because it is doesn't have that bad plastic smell like others. I add a teaspoon of bleach every once in a while and then get the air out and let it sit for a while and that seems to clean it well. I also keep in in the fridge at all times sometimes with a few drops of dish soap and water filled in it.UPDATE 6/5/17:I ordered a new one of these NOT because it broke or failed in anyway after much abuse but only because my old one was starting to taste funny after a year of use filling with sport drinks. I'm happy to report that they redesigned the fill port cap which in my first review above was my only qualm because it occasionally leaked. This new part is black instead of clear so I noticed it right away and they tapered the edges and made it slightly larger so when you tighten the screw cap it pulls it into the hole creating a perfect seal. I have used this 5 times and I'm happy to report that this one does not leak ever! I did notice that the mouth piece does not engage open until it swivels out more. I believe they changed this because on the old one if you didn't close it fully it could leak and this new one it seems like it has has to be all the way swiveled out in order to flow which I actually do like because I can twist it just slightly to close it. Also when I forgot to close it I haven't had it leak yet so maybe that is improved too, some more time on the unit will tell on that aspect though, if it starts to leak from the bite valve when the swivel is not closed than I will try to update this review.

No leaks, durable, lightweight. Mouthpiece is comfortable. Excellent price and recycling options.

These are perfect. I reuse mine till they die, which hasn't happened yet (after at least 6 -8 camping trips and having them stored over the winter). The taste from these bags is minimal compared to any other bag I have ever used. The only thing I would say to watch out for, is to make sure you tighten the cap all the way. Like tight, tight. Otherwise it will leak. I also really like the bite valve on these bags. Haven't had them leak at all and they are an easy draw.

This products immediately leaked and soaked the inside of the backpack. The leak occurred where the hose meets the bag. The seal is poorly designed and didn’t do just that- seal. It was a complete waste of money.

Inexpensive? - checkright size? - checkno taste? - checkeasy to fill? - checklocking bite valve? - checkeasy to clean? - Well, it's not exactly made for that.I have only put water in my H2O pack, so I I'm hoping this lasts longer than what it's designed for.Never again will I buy any reservoir other than this.

Used these to replace the hydration bladders that came with some bagswe purchased through our high school band, for summer band. The plastic smell was horrible in those, and the taste wouldn't wash out. Also verified that they were not BPA or Phthalate free, which this particular product is.2 Liter was a snug fit, as the backpacks had a 1.5 liter fit, but worked nonetheless. The bite valve as well as the hose, are BPA/Phthalate food grade materials. Very easy to clean. No smell or taste.

I like the recyclable nature of the bag, and the price is great too. The mouth piece is by far my favorite part about it. It opens wide with very little effort, so big gulps can be taken. Plus it stays sealed without leaking when not being used.
