Don’t be distracted by the stock photo, that’s not what it looks like. The brackets fit into the factory locations and are identical to OEM running board brackets, except they are longer (allowing them to sit lower). This allowed me to fit OEM SR5 running boards on my Limited, without any modifications. This was exactly what I was looking for.

This an excellent solution to clear the lower body panels on a 4Runner Limited. They allow the 5.5" and wider running boards to actually be usable and not be tucked under the body panels. The photo on the ad is not what you get-but the supports drop the running boards by an inch and away from vehicle an inch.

Only fix for extending boards on 2017 4runner ltd

Purchased for my 2016 Toyota 4Runner SR5. Bolted to the truck nice but the running boards were 10" off the ground. Called Westin and they suggested I order the 27-2165 brackets as these were designed for the Trail model or 4Runners that had been lifted. These are going back and the 27-2165 brackets are on the way.

They worked perfectly. Easy to install.

I found the 2017 4Runner Limited running boards hard to use, too tight to the sill panel.. These mounts drop the rail down about an inch and move them out about an inch which makes the running boards a lot more easy to use. Easy to install.
