My opthalmologist recommended I use a heated eye mask that you heated in the microwave but I didn't like it at all. One reason I didn't like it was I travel and don't have a microwave available. The other was, it didn't stay warm long enough. One of the assistants at the practice said to look for heated eye masks that worked on USB, and that was a great tip! I found this one and it is so much better! It is lighter, fits better, and has a cord long enough for me to plug it into a USB port near my bed or couch, choose the time I want, and it heats quickly and stays hot (well, pretty warm) for that amount of time and then shuts off and cools down fast. I like to use it when I wake up in the morning, before I get out of bed. So easy to reach over on the night table to get it, slip it on, and click the button. Don't even have to get out of bed. I've had it for almost 5 months now and it is working fine. It is small and light and easy to pack for travel.

I got this on the advice of my opthamologist, who is treating me for dry eyes. I first got another version, which did not have the timer and heat setting options. The other version also was more of a flat padded piece of cloth, whereas this one is thicker, and convex, to fit the curvature of the eye socket. The convex feature of this one makes it much more effective in targeting the proper area with heat (with the flat unit, I had to hold my hands over my eye sockets to get the same effect). I only use the highest heat setting on this one, but it stays much hotter than the other unit I had, since it is plug in, and does not work off a battery. I really like the timer setting, too. I would highly recommend paying extra for the features of this unit, as it is much more effective.

This mask works so much better than the one I returned. It lays on my face without a bulky battery laying on one eye. It is comfortable and does the job. I typically set it for 30 minutes on the medium setting. Sometimes I fall asleep, but since it has an automatic shut off it is fine.The strap is adjustable so I can make it a comfortable fit. Good size, covers my eyes well.My only problem, and why I took away a star, it does not come with an electric plug. What?! I have to plug the USB into the plug from my Samsung tablet in order to plug it into the electric socket. Why they would sell this without a plug is beyond me.

I have sjogren's and that causes very bad dry eyes. I have tried all kinds of drops and this heated eye mask was a blessing. I wear it at bedtime for an hour and it has helped so much. I wish it came with a second cover so you can alternate while washing one, but that is my only complaint. If you need a heated eye mask, this one works great. Ive had mine several months with no issues.

Super helpful for my dry eye issues, and easy to use. I use it for about 10 minutes on bad days and it stops itching immediately and helps with dryness for several hours. Just be careful to not put too much pressure on your eyes, the heat could potentially deform your cornea. I keep it loose and focus on holding it to the skin around the eye to help tear/oil production, but not pressing hard on my eyeball itself.

So happy with this eye mask I have had dry eye problems for several years and since I’ve been using this I feel so much relief, anyone with similar problems I will answer your questions . I have purchased this 4 times

DO NOT APPLY PRESSURE TO THIS ONTO YOUR EYES WHILE USING. You can damage your vision. The first use I had too much pressure and noticed a distortion in vision for a good 10 minutes after I took it off. I searched online and read that you are softening your eye surface and distorting it. More than likely it will go back to normal but you could cause damage. I have used it a few times, and it has felt rather nice, but I noticed no improvement in my dry eye. Maybe I have not used it enough or consistently enough, but I also do not have the time or patience to sit there with this on my eyes doing nothing

Temperature fluctuates. Sometimes the high gets hit other times it's just gets warm.
