I tried it on my old board that measured 18.5" in diameter and it worked fine and it also fits my new board that is 17.75" in diameter. The light ring is designed so that the LED lights are aimed at the board and you can not see the LEDs from the line where you throw the darts so there is no light glaring at you as you aim your darts.
