These are convenient to have in your pack in case you done have a level spot to take off from, but I don't know if they are a must have.The drone flies fine with them, and they fit well, but you can't leave them on at all times.While these feet are on you can keep on your gimbal cover, but can't remove the battery or close the drones arms back in (at least not easily), nor can you fold these legs in completely when not needed.So you'll need to connect them whenever you need them instead of just folding up the legs when you dont need them or are packing up.But overall, they do their job and are sturdy enough.

I sometimes use my Mini 3 in locations where the ground is a bit rough, making landing tricky without damaging the props. having these landing gear attached adds space between the ground and the drone, making it much simpler to operate. It is worth noting that this will take your drone over the 250g limit for operating in the A1 category - if you have an A2CofC qualification though this is not an issue.
