Awesome system.
My father was in the hospital and we needed something after he came home so that he could page one of us. This has been a godsend. The bell is loud - we can hear it across the house. At its highest level, it can wake me from sleep so I can go help him. Your mileage may vary if you’re a heavy sleeper. Also, the volume is adjustable. The unit is waterproof, or at least water resistant, so he’s able to keep it on when bathing. I feel better knowing he can use this to call for help at any time.I only wish it came with multiple receivers for multiple rooms.

OK Caregiver Pager, but not totally wireless or portable
The Globelec Caregiver Pager works fine as long as you are within hearing range of the receiver which needs to be plugged into an AC outlet. The pager comes with a round call button transmitter which measures approximately 2.375" in diameter. The square receiver measures about 2.75" wide and has buttons to control the volume and to select the ring tones (there is a pretty good selection of over 20 tones). The receiver must be plugged into an electrical AC outlet in order to work. The transmitter comes with a lanyard allowing the person to wear the pager around the neck and have it nearby to be able to pressed the call button as needed. The receiver, as it needs to be plugged into an electrical outlet, must be within hear-able distance of the caregiver. Although the volume of the ring is pretty loud, I still find that being tethered to an AC outlet is a problem. I tried to mount the receiver in the AC outlet hear a central area of my house. While testing, I found that the transmitter/receiver working distance is quite adequate for my large 2 story house. However, I found that if I am in a different floor in a room with the door closed, or if I am in a bathroom with the door closed and the ventilation fan on, I sometimes can't hear the ringing of the receiver, even at the highest volume setting. So I have to constantly remember to unplug the receiver from the central location and move it to a nearby AC outlet where I am located so that I won't miss a page. And if I am out in the yard, I am unable to plug it into a nearby outlet and won't be able to hear the ringing of the receiver. In addition the instructions were not very clear on how to replace the battery on the transmitter. You have to slide off the back cover (don't try to pry it open using the tabs) and then after the back cover is off, remove 3 screws to open the 2nd back cover. In short, the Globelec Caregiver Pager is easy to set up and use, but has limitations. The transmitter is convenient to wear about the neck, has good range, and is easy to operate. But due to the plug-in receiver, the pager works best if you are pretty much stationary, or within hearing range of where the receiver is plugged in. I wish that it was a true wireless and portable receiver that I can carry around with me.

It's a door bell sound
Too many sounds to choose which makes difficult to select the particular sound. Once the sound is selected, if you unplugged it or loose AC power you lose that sound and have start all over again through the long agonizing process. Just keep the default door bell sound and live with it.

Outstanding product! So helpful for caretakers
The Caregiver Pager Wireless Call Button works incredibly well and was such a good idea when I was taking care of my aging parent for a week. The call speaker is really loud, even on the softest setting, so you can always hear if they need something. There’s no setup required—just plug it in and go.This device is extremely helpful for caregivers who want to give their patients privacy while still being reachable from across the house. It's very affordably priced and the value you get for the expenditure is top notch. Overall, it’s a fantastic tool that offers both convenience and peace of mind.

Loud when needed, excellent range indoors
First the good, this pager can get very loud if you choose that or it can be toned down to nearly inaudible, so this is excellent for a care setting where daytime and night times require different volumes. Also the transmitter has excellent range, reaching over 1200 feet for us in a house with many walls. The build and material on the receiver and transmitter are very good, definitely high quality. Now the bad, the instructions are very unclear so to this minute I am still unable to change the ring tone. I can cycle through them but the tone I select only saves 1 out of every 10 times so something's not right with that. Also, to change the battery on the transmitter you need a very small screwdriver which I wish they would have provided. Overall, this pager does what we need it to do and it would be a 5 star unit it if the instructions could be improved.

Works ok but can't change ringtone
This is nice and loud if you want it to be so it functions just fine. Using it for my ailing dad when he needs something in bed. It can be adjusted to be really loud so you can hear it over everything. The volume is adjustable too. so that helps. The only issue is that, although it has many nice ringtones, it still defaults to the standard door bill ding dong. I've tried setting it to the other tones but just defaults to that one. Other than that it functions just fine. I currently have it about 40 feet from where he sleeps and it reaches that distance just fine. Aside from the tone not changeable, I would like to see the ability to use batteries/rechargeable too so you can take the base to other areas without having to find a plug.

Perfect inexpensive solution
This little wireless SOS button is perfect for our needs. We have an office where sometimes elderly people go to use the restroom in their walker or wheelchair and the door closer is too strong for them to operate the door well. This little button is so handy to hand to them so they can press it when they are ready for someone to open the door for them. It's a perfect solution and inexpensive to boot. You have the option of selecting from a set of chimes to find one you like. The base/chime unit is NOT wireless, it plugs into an outlet.
