First priority is to get the sizing correct. I measured my foot and compared it to the sizing chart. I take a Canadian 9, a UK 8 or a EU 42. For the water shoes select the U.S size 8.5 and without your socks they are a snug fit, which is ideal if walking around in waterfalls. Went to Costa Rica for a week and used in the pool plus went on a hike of 1Km in the rain forest, through mud and rocks, ending with a swim in a waterfall. These lightweight shoes with a good sturdy sole held up without any issues. Now stored away in their plastic wallet case ready for the next vacation. I normally wear a women’s 9, and had to choose between the 8.5/9.5. Decided to go with the women’s 9.5 and they fit true to size, they are a bit too big for me. My husband wears a men’s 10, he ordered the men’s 10.5, and his fit slightly bigger as well.I will say these shoes upon first trying them on seem really well made. The sole is thick but not bulky, and the straps tighten the shoe nicely around your foot. We will see how they hold up after our vacation!
