Wurkkos does it again, this time with a diving light
The media could not be loaded. The first thing you'll notice about this diving light is it's perfect palm size form factor. Not only is the form factor ideal to fit in your hands but it's large enough to get a solid grip on it even if you may be wearing diving gloves. The other thing I immediately noticed is that the on/off / adjustment ring is placed exactly where your thumb and forefinger would fall on the body of the light when you were gripping it normally. The adjustment ring also has some grooves machined into it to give you a better grip on the adjustment ring as likely will be required under slippery water. And again the adjustment ring is placed precisely where your hand would expect it to be while attempting to manipulate the adjustment ring underwater or again possibly wearing diving gloves. This tells me it's a very well thought out light. The rotational adjustment ring makes the switch waterproof as there are no exposed mechanical parts that could be damaged by being submerged in water. The power for this light is provided by a very generous 26650 lithium cell rated at 5,000 mAh. These 26650 cells are some of the largest commercially available lithium ion cells and their perfect for this application as they provide a greatly extended runtime, because, well you can't actually be changing batteries underwater now can you? This included 26650 cell was verified to have 5,000 mAh capacity when tested and has generally been my experience with all of the wurkkos labeled lithium cells, all very high quality. The light also includes a typical ball mount found on other diving accessories. Package also includes a lithium ion cell charger as well as spare o-rings and instruction manual and an 18650 adapter tube that you can use in a pinch to run this diving light on 18650 lithium cells. Also included is a hefty lanyard that attached to the end of the diving light. Now on to the actual performance in terms of illumination. The first rotational click provides a cold white spotlight The second click provides a warm white flood light that is extremely bright, the next click is still a warm white flood light but at a lower brightness, subsequent click turns on the red light, and the last mode is an ultraviolet light. What I've noticed throughout all of these modes, and I'm not sure how they did this, but the beam flood is extremely evenly dispersed. There are no hot spots donuts or bright rings anywhere it is just one very smooth wide cone of light without any discernible center source. This is critical when using a light underwater especially a very bright light of 3000 lumens so that the reflection back from the water doesn't blind you or impair what you're trying to observe, so it's essential to have that very smooth wide spread field of light so that you can appropriately see underwater versus a beam with a hotspot center that would impair your vision underwater. This again tells me that not only was the mechanics & physical construction of the light well thought out but also the electrical / illuminating properties are ideal for diving.Well I have to admit I'm a little bit of a flashaholic owning over 50 different flashlights.Enter into my collection this latest offering, and I believe this is their first so called "diving light" advertised as 100% waterproof. We're going to test that!Okay I tested it, please see video.Spoiler alert.. It passed 100% functionality and remained totally dry inside the light itself. If you look at the photos above you can see a totally dark in ground swimming pool which in the next photo is illuminated by ONLY this diver light on high. The pool is approximately 40 to 50 ft long and the diver light had no trouble illuminating the pool from one end to the other which hopefully you can see in the photos and in the video. Also if you leave off the diving ball accessory arm on the light you should be able to screw it into a tripod mount, and be able to use it as a photography fill light ,since as I mentioned the spread and smooth beam pattern allows this to function also as a fill light for photography with its very smooth even pattern of light dispersion.I've looked at the prices of a few other diving lights and they can be very very expensive where as this light here performs very well at a fraction of the cost of those other diving lights. Keep in mind a high quality 26650 lithium cell is close to 20.00 alone. If you like me you're going to try one light from Wurkkos and wind up with a whole bunch more of their products, I'm excited to see what they put out next. (That's assuming you're a " flashaholic" like me.)

Fantastic Flashlight with Versatile Features
I recently purchased this flashlight, and I couldn't be happier with my choice! This flashlight offers different lighting modes and colors, which has proven to be incredibly useful in various situations. Whether I need a bright white light for outdoor activities or a softer colored light for indoor use, this flashlight has it all.The water-resistant feature is a game-changer. I've used it in the rain and during a camping trip by the river, and it performed flawlessly without any issues. It's reassuring to know that I don't have to worry about the weather conditions when I have this reliable flashlight with me.Overall, this flashlight is durable, versatile, and well worth the investment. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a dependable and multi-functional light source!

many features, great price
Very nice diving flashlight. Build quality is very nice and solid, will survive being hit against coral and rocks. This flashlight has the combination of:-CREE 5300-5700K LED-Samsung 5000K 90CRI LEDs-CREE LED red light-UV LED lightThe floody modes are extremely floody at 135 degrees which is great to see everything around you. The red light gives a nice brightness too. This would be a great flashlight to take camping because of all the different modes to it. Red will help avoid bugs, and the mix of floody and spotlight is great depending on how much foliage is blocking your view.If you like taking photographs/video the 90CRI will give you an accurate color representation. The 26650 should last you quite a while as its a big battery. I'm happy it comes with a charger too as I don't have one for a battery this size. Comes with extra O rings and lanyard too. All in all, great flashlight and a great price.

A versatile and solid diving flashlight
As a user who have owned several Wurkkos flashlights, I am very happy to have another one like this diving flashlight. First, it is well built like always. It comes with a 5000mAh 26650 Li-ion rechargeable battery to deliver a long service time between charges. Although it is designed for diving, it is anyway a good flashlight for daily use. I particularly like its UV light. I had a UV flashlight for curing resin and this Wurkkos has replaced it. I haven't got a chance to test it in a swimming pool or the ocean, but I did throw it into a water jar. After more than 1 hour, it was still working without any issue. Inside was completely dry after submerged in the water for a long time. I will come back and give an update if I have a chance to use it a few hundred feet underwater. It also comes with plenty of accessories, such as a battery charger and USB cable. I really like this diving light and highly recommend it if you are considering a flashlight for diving or daily use.

Fantastic Light!
I own several other Wurkkos flashlights, but this is my first diving light. And it does not disappoint! Like my other Wurkkos lights, the fit, finish, and overall build quality of the DL07 is excellent. Upon opening the box, you'll find: - the DL07 Flashlight (with a 5000mAh, 26650 battery already installed) - battery charger - USB-C cable for battery charger - strap/lanyard - ball mount - ball mount screw - extra o-rings - spacer to allow for smaller diameter battery to be used (probably an 18650) - instructions and notice Since this is a diving light, let's look at a few features that are different than a "regular" flashlight. First of all, this light is supposed to remain waterproof down to 100m. Have I tested that claim? Not yet. Do I believe it? Absolutely. Under the tail cap, there are 2 o-rings, instead of the usual 1 o-ring that I have in my other waterproof lights. You can see this in some of the pictures. Also, instead of the usual button on the side or tail cap, this light utilizes a magnetic rotary switch to turn the light on and rotate through the different modes. This is one less point of failure as far as water ingress is concerned. The ring rotates very smoothly and has a distinct click/stopping point at each setting. The "lanyard" is longer than usual and has a rubber sleeve, so that it's comfortable on the wrist. A ball mount is included, for mounting to an underwater camera or anywhere else you might have a ball clamp. The ball is mounted to the light using the included 1/4-20 bolt, which means you could also use the hole to mount this light to a standard tripod as well. Now, let's talk about the emitters. The DL07 contains: - 1 x CREE XPL-HI 5300-5700K LED - 4 x Samsung LH351D 5000K 90CRI LEDs - 1 x CREE XPE LED red light - 1 x LG UV LED light The 4 Samsung LH351D LEDs are a very pleasant color and offer a nice, wide flood. The rotary switch allows selection of a low (max 800 Lumens) and a high (max 3000 Lumens!) for these flood emitters The CREE XPL-HI 5300-5700K LED offers a narrower and cooler colored beam. It gives a max of 1000 Lumens. The red CREE emitter claims to have a max of 180 lumens, but feels brighter. And the LG UV offers a max 1000 Lumens. With 4 different types of emitters and 5 color/brightness selections, it's a great all around light, whether you dive or not. (The UV light is especially fun for the kids, who have glow-in-the-dark stars on their bedroom ceilings) Overall, I feel that Wurkkos flashlights are a great value and the DL07 is no exception.
