Educational and fun for all ages!
I had a plasma dome when I was a kid and this one is such great quality. Real glass, has multiple modes and it'd a great value for money spent. It has a very sleek appearance and my kids really like playing with it. It's the best size for any desk or table and super easy to use.

Good so far
My son bought this with his Christmas money.and so far loves it, only issue was that the cord that came with it did not work, fortunately he had another cord form something else that did work with it. Will update later after he uses it for some time and see how it holds up.

Very cool plasma "ball" but make sure you like the shape
This is pretty cool, who doesn't enjoy lightning in a bottle? One thing I noticed with this shape though is that the tendrils don't wander around on their own as much as they do in a spherical one. So make sure you like this shape before choosing it over a classic sphere. Overall, though, I can recommend it.

Super bright plasma!
I've been fond of plasma globes for decades -- ever since the writer Jerry Pournelle wrote in his column in Byte Magazine about getting one, somewhen in the 80s, when they were a new thing. (he paid somewhere in four figures for his!) I now have an assortment of them in various shapes and sizes, from one that screws in like a lightbulb to one about a foot in diameter. This is one of the best. (note: I also have an unreasonable number of lava lights!)This is singularly bright. It's clear and bright even in a well-lit room. I was expecting, with the elongated shape, that the top end would be dim or unreachable by the plasma streamers, but it wasn't; the whole body of it is bright. It's definitely the best of my collection. I absolutely love it. I spent way too much time playing with it -- running my hand along the glass and watching the filaments chase it, or lighting up a hand-shaped glow -- as soon as I unboxed it, to the detriment of getting any actual work done. The sound sensitive mode is, well, sensitive to sound. I didn't do any deeper testing because I really don't like my lights dancing to my music; it makes me feel like I'm in a cut-rate disco. But it definitely reacts to, say, me snapping my fingers, or talking to it, which constituted my test. This looks really good, too. It's a nice change from my various spherical ones. And did I mention it's bright?Note that it *is* glass, and therefore you should be careful of pets, small children, and anything else that could knock it off wherever you put it. It's quite light; a heavier base would have helped stability. I'm probably going to tether mine to something with a black zip-tie around its base, because I have two chaotic cats.Very heartily recommended.

fun to play with!
I recently got this plasma ball lamp, and it’s such a fun addition to my space! The colors are vibrant, and the way the energy dances around is mesmerizing. I just place my hand on it and the little lightning just dances around my hand! it's very fun and cool! It gives off a cool glow that’s perfect for setting a relaxing vibe in the room. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter! If you’re looking for a unique piece to liven up your decor, I highly recommend this plasma ball lamp!

Truly awesome noisy plug
It's just as cool as the ads. Fun I like it more than the ball because you can see how the plasma interacts with you from different distances. But the plug itself on mine makes a faint noise, I can hear it power down when I unplug or if I turn lamp on sound goes away but unused it makes a faint sound. Looking for a replacement plug rn because it's unnecessary and I'm not convinced it's not consuming power when lamp is off.

The plug is screeching
I can’t recommend this product to anyone. After a couple days of having this lamp plugged in and turned on for a few hours a day I started noticing an electrical humming screech from the plug. It occurs even when the lamp is set to off and only stops after about a second after being removed from the outlet. I feel like an electrical humming/screech from a plug is an indicator that it’s faulty and dangerous to have plugged in. Wish I’d kept the box because I’d return this lamp.
