A Superb Table, and Superb Purchasing Experience.
For those of you who are serious players, this table will not disappoint. It is well worth the extra money for the extra table thickness as it makes for exceptional control of the ball. Your game will equally improve.Additionally, I wish to compliment Tony at fl-sales. The first table was delivered with significant damage to the second box that was not visible until removing it from the shipping pallet - possibly damaged from a forklift. The seller was a total professional and spoke to the manufacturer, securing a replacement table in no time. Thank You, Tony! One more item must be mentioned, and that is the color of the table surface itself. The product description showed that the surface color came in blue, but the first table came with a gray surface. If you had had your heart set on blue, which I did, one might have been disappointed. The replacement table, thankfully, came with the original blue table surface as I had originally expected. Be sure to ask the seller for verification before purchasing it.Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of this purchase!

It is a garbage for me now
i bought Stiga Optimum 30 in 2014. the association links table and leg was bent when i fold it by wrong way in 2016. Then i contact service and they told me the engineer will deal with it. It is almost a year and i didn't get any news from the agent. I am so disappointed with the service of the agent. The table is wonderful but i can't use it at all. It is the first time that i recognize that service is more importment than quality.

Can't get it right
The first one of these I ordered arrived damaged. The replacement one was missing pieces. The third was also damaged and missing pieces. Because this table weighs about as much as an elephant, I was tired of lifting these monstrosities only to find something else wrong. I gave up and 3 years later still haven't tried to get a ping pong table. I'm starting to work up the courage to try again, pray for me :-)

I have always been a fan of Stiga and I got to play on one of these at SPiN in New York and I knew that it had to be a great tab
This table is unbelievable! I have always been a fan of Stiga and I got to play on one of these at SPiN in New York and I knew that it had to be a great table to be the table of choice for SPiN clubs. The table arrived in perfect condition, but make sure you have atleast two adults to carry it in and assemble it because it is a beast. This weight is a testament to the quality of the table. You can tell it is designed and made in Germany from the quality of every part of the table. The assembly was straight forward and simple and once we got it up, the playability is incredible. The bounce of the 30mm top is perfectly consistent, it folds and rolls with ease, and even the net and post set that it comes with is top notch. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a world class table that will last forever.

Slow bounce
This table is a beautiful blue, but when I played on it, I found that balls bounce slower than on other brands/models of tables. I went to a club that had 4 of these tables and they all had a slow bounce. I went to another club that had this same model and the bounce was slow. I find this strange considering the price.

This table has spectacular "feel"
I am no ping-pong "expert" -- I grew up playing on a 1973 Sears special table, and the farthest I ever advanced was 3rd place in my high school's ping-pong tournament. But when my wife finally destroyed the old table "because it was between me and my beer", I decided I wanted an ITTF-approved table that would last another 39 years.Boy, did Stiga deliver! This thing weighs in at over 250 lbs. Amazingly, it took only a couple of hours to assemble. The play is fantastic; you can actually FEEL the difference between one-star and three-star balls while playing. If a complete amateur can feel the difference between balls, that says something about the table. In terms of durability, I think I could store 1000 pounds of junk on this table and it wouldn't bat an eyelash. As one other reviewer put it, "Built like a Sherman tank, plays like a Porsche."In spite of its solid build and hefty weight, the folding mechanism is fantastic. I can, quite literally, fold and store the table one-handed; the release mechanism and folding balance are that well-engineered.So why only 4 stars?Because the mechanism that holds the two halves together consists of two small pieces of plastic. $1400 for a table-of-the-ages, and you connect the two halves together with PLASTIC?!?!?! I expect the table to last 40 years. I expect those plastic parts to have to be replaced every year or two. Why? Would the extra $2 for steel interleaves really have bankrupted Stiga? So I love love LOVE the table, and feel it was well worth the price, but I have my reservations about how long those plastic interleaves are going to last. Ask me in 2 years whether I still think the table was worth it, when I have to contact Stiga, get replacement plastic, and see how hard it is to replace...

Solid Beast of a Table
You could say that the Optimum 30 is overkill for home, but when we are at our local club, there are practice tables (3/4"), and there are Optimum 30's for league play. It just seems to play better, and I feel better playing on it.It is a very solid table, and feel that it will last a lifetime.Part of my thought process in buying this table was that higher level players at the club may consider playing at my house if I had the right equipment, size of room etc. This would also benefit me, playing much better players.I did have issues with the shipping company where they lost the first table they were shipping. But the second attempt was fine.

PaddlePalace gets my kudos
Very solid, very heavy table. Initial delivery by a local delivery company did not go as smoothly as one wishes - Paddle Palace team (Thanks David!!!) went above and beyond trying (and succeeding) to make it right. Sticking with PaddlePalace for future supplies and replacements - well worth the hassle and excellent pricing.
