Good condition, some bugs.
It doesn't detect how most music put into it via SD card. The firmware update process is also very difficult and instructions available are not very clear about how to troubleshoot.

not ready for the market
this item has way to many issues to list the latest is the music skipping it will not play a complete song without it starting to get all wonky slowing down and sounding like the track is getting all mixed up. When it does decide to work it does sound great but i can't recommend DON'T BUY!!!!

A nice music player, however a crippled user experience due to mfg. instituted restrictions.
The DX150 boasts some great specs and is a very nice audio player. However, through their proprietary firmware iBasso has restricted the functionality of any google based apps. Also the Google Play Store app will not function on it. Sure there are ways to mod the firmware or install moded firmware, but really is no reason a customer should have to go though all that aggravation. As a work around Apps can be side loaded via a microSD card. Aptoide and Amazon AppStore apps will allow Android apps to be installed, however google based apps will still be crippled unless the firmware is moded. Tidal will not work either, even with the most current firmware. Spotify will work, however unlike their iOS app the an equalizer is not included in the app. Trying 3rd party equalizer apps resulted is such interference that all music player apps were unusable. From a user standpoint I want to be able to be able to color music to work with all the different iems and cabs I use. Also I want to use whatever 3rd party music app and DSP app that I want. iBasso has made this impossible with the DX150. If you only want to use their proprietary music player and it’s built in EQ, then you are good to go, but that’s not good enough for me so that’s why it’s going back. A FiiO X7 Mkii is on order and will be replacing it in my collection. Hopefully it will fair better.

It sounds noticeably better than a phone as well
Build is solid. It is larger than a phone, by a lot, I would say with included case about 4x the thickness of a Google Pixel. It sounds noticeably better than a phone as well. This is why you rip your music at high quality and spend decent money on headphones. The UI is a bit different than a traditional phone set up, that's fine, this isn't a phone. For the price, I think it's great, compared to other players closer to the $1k mark. If I had a wishlist, it would be to add a second microSD slot. And maybe software similar to iTunes that can organize your music/podcasts. Other than that, it's a good purchase.

Overall is fine
The sound quality is good, but the battery life is not that good

WARNING, THESE ARE TROUBLESOME.
I bought one of these and have nothing but trouble with it. I own an ibasso dx160, fiio m11, lotoo, paw 5000 mk ii, and hiby r3 pro Sabre. They are all excellent except this dx150. I grabbed it because of the price. The seller told me they were new, and truthfully, they looked it. But there's definitely something wrong with these units ftom this seller. No wonder they're selling the m for $339.00 when they're &$499.00 everywhere else. These units cannot be updated via wifi or manually, they cradh constantly, and I've had to do a factory reset 4 tines because the screen goes red and it's the only way to clear it. I don't think I need to tell you that it's a definite return. BEWARE. You get what you pay for. ADENDUM - I BOUGHT A USED ONE FROM A FRIEND. THIS ONE WAS UPDATED TO THE LATEST FIRMWARE AND WORKS, AND SOUNDS EXCELLENT. BUT AS WITH ALL IBASSO PRODUCTS, IF YOU'RE A STREAMER, IBASSO IS NOT FOR YOU. WITH MY DX160, AND THIS DX150, THE SECOND I LEAVE THE ROOM WHERE MY ROUTER IS, YOU WON'T RECEIVE A SIGNAL. I HAVE ZERO ISSUES WITH ANY OTHER DEVICES.

Not a Love/Hate thing. More a strong like/dislike
First things first. This thing is ridiculously big. Think the thinnest cassette walkman you have owned and this is how big this thing feels. I thought my Fiio X5 III was a brick but this thing is a house. The nice thing is though that all of the controls (volume, play, pause, etc) are on one side so while it is big, it's not uncomfortable to use one handed. The amp modules can be swapped out and I love the fact that the amp doesn't take up screen space like it does on the Fiio devices. Speaking of the screen, the size of it is perfect. Maybe some day they'll get the internal parts a bit smaller so that the overall device isn't so cumbersome. The UI is pretty good here. Nice big panels that I can comfortably press rather than gently poke with the tip of my finger. Creating playlists is pretty easy albeit quite tedious unless you're adding an entire album. Just go to playlist and scroll down to "new playlist" (this is a screen where the touch panels are half a size larger than they need to be). I read that this supports m3u playlists, however it does not read any of the ones I have on my card. I do wish this had 2 card slots like the Fiio. There's definitely enough space for it. I also wish it had in-line controls so that I can control without taking out of my pocket. The sound is really quite good in my opinion. Coming off the Fiio Q5 with an iPhone, I'm hearing a lot of detail that I couldn't. This is the first device I've ever used where I leave the EQ off.I love this thing and I hate it. Thanks to Bad Guy, Good Audio's reviews, the lag has been fixed but there are other glaring issues. There's some workarounds that were created but I shouldn't have to install shady software (with far too many steps) in order to get this thing to reach its potential. It's still very early in the game so I won't totally give up on it but there are so many things that just are not ready for prime time:- Gapless play doesn't work.- Wifi is pointless because it fails to update firmware this way (says cannot connect to the internet)- No streaming services. I can't download any streaming apps because there's no Google Play Store. I generally refuse to pay over $300 for DAP's without wifi and here I am paying over $300 for a DAP that essentially has no functional wifi.- There currently is no bluetooth support for 24 bit 192k Flac files. Not a deal breaker for me as I usually go wired anyway but I wanted to test this with my wireless equipment just to see if it could be an option and no dice. So, what is good about this? Well, since there is no streaming available at the moment, I am able to pair my iPhone to this via bluetooth so that I can stream from there. It's also got USB DAC mode but I rarely ever use that. The battery life for me has been really good. Sometimes this thing doesn't turn off even though I've pressed off and then confirmed that I do in fact want to turn it off. I'll pick it up the next day and it's only sleeping. This is kind of irritating but yet I kinda like the always-on mode of this vs having to power on and pair my Q5 each time I want to listen to music.Out of all of the devices I've tried over the last year or so, this one is my favorite but that's not really saying a whole lot considering I haven't been 100% satisfied with anything yet. They're either too big or too heavy or UI is not appealing. If you're thinking about buying this, think about what you want out of it. If you're a mixed streamer/ Flac listener like I am, you may want to hold off and see where iBasso decides to go with this one.UPDATE 8/14/18I'm still on the fence with this device. I've updated with Lurker00's firmware which has added the Google Play store and that has helped tremendously. I find myself using HibyMusic over iBasso's Mango player because it's a bit quicker and offers a little more customization. I can also connect that via HibyLink to my phone and control the player from there. I wonder if I should have just gone ahead and gotten the Hiby R6 but I think that the iBasso offers better sound. Also, I can swap out the amp to make it even better.Update 1/2019 - Sold it! Got a Sony ZX300 instead which is more pocketable and has a slightly faster UI. I still miss the big screen of the iBasso but for other reasons, it had to go. Still, i'm looking at the Astell & Kern SE100 to see if that fulfills my desire for a bigger screen but the price tag makes it way too much of a risk.
