No! You'd better not do that, it will damage your hard floors and be suitable for your carpet only.

Down toward the bottom of the description it lists the thick as 0.09 inches. I'd say that's right. Trying to measure it with a ruler, it's less than an eighth of an inch thick, so I would say the description is accurate, about a tenth of an inch
