Tremendous Book on All Things Gin!
One of the best books on spirits ever! (I have been collecting books on whiskey, gin, rum, etc. for over a decade). Hands down one the best works. Well done by the author!!!

Great intentions but questionable execution
An excellent resource but the format makes very little sense to me. Am I suppose to read this from back to front or pick it up and skip around when I feel so inclined? 'Gin Encyclopedia' would be a more apt title. I think the information contained within is fascinating but I got about 25% of the way through and the nonsensical format just made me nauseous; there's nothing linear about it whatsoever. I don't know who (in 2019) would consult a spirit related book simply to look up 'key lime', for instance, to better understand the key limes relevance to gin production. If I want to learn more about key limes I'm going to google 'key lime' and read a more comprehensive description of the fruit/plant. I'd a appreciate a gin-related book which, in a given chapter, breaks down the various ingredients historically used in gin production...one of which might be key lime'. That makes sense to me. I love spirit related books, I have a whole shelf of them; this is the only one I have that I'm actually disappointed in. Give me at least a little narrative. Get a little more complex as the entries progress (I know that would be challenging, I'm not being facetious...that would actually be super hard). I'm sure the author had great intentions but an editor or publicist should have spoken up and put the breaks on this one.

Good book but upside down
The outside of the book is one way and when you open the book you have to flip it as its upside down Does not affect the reading but not a happy buyer.
