Fired right up
Replaced Quadrajet with this 1409 on Chevy 5.7 boat engine.Engine fired right up and barely had to adjust.I have never seen my GPH meter under 4. At throttle just above idlemeter was at 2.6 GPH. Great throttle response and no gassy fumesfrom running too rich like Qjet. Uses about same fuel amount at full throttlebut has a few sweet spots from 2800-3400 RPM using about 3-4 less per hourthan Qjet. A little bit "blingy" with the gold finish but starts much betterand no more plug fouling from running too rich.

No me trabaja bien en mi motor 454 , no coje baja y el motor está bien reparado ,con suerte lo llevaré a revisión y espero resolver

Put it on my 5.8 ford inboard and it worked great
Well worth the money functions as it should.

Does not work
Carb did not work at all. It was not machined correctly and no fuel can go from the bowl to the jets. It looks really good though.

Worked for 5 minutes and stopped delivering fuel. I'm guessing float needles sticking
