I have given this book as a gift multiple times. Recipes are very authentic and truly reflect the different regional cooking of Mexico. But.... the photos make you feel like you're traveling through Mexico, while you are cooking!I have several favorite recipes, many are similar to the ones I learned from my Grandmother and great aunts. Easy to rate this book. I purchased this for my son who from time to time asks for old family recipes. My mom gifted this very same book to my sisters and me many years ago. Mom and I went through it together and were delighted to find that these are authentic recipes. Our own family recipes, handed down through the ages, were very similar, with an enhancement or modification here and there. An excellent book! Beautiful gift. My purchase was listed as "slightly used," and was in pristine condition!

As an old Texan, Mexico and its cousins is special to me. These recipes are excellent and typical. The recipe for picadillo is literally worth the price of the book. My original copy had vanished and to get this plus several others, I bought another copy.Highly recommended.

Love this book. I got it from the library first and then had to take it back after 9 weeks. Then I got it for another 9 weeks and finally I realized I just needed to own it. I continue to use so many recipes from it. Fiesta Chicken works for breakfast or dinner meals. I ordered this book many times, but it is part of series and Good Will and others sent me the ones from Italy or France. Finally I got the one I wanted and it was worth the effort.

This cookbook was used so I expected some wear and tear. However the book arrived with a thick layer of rancid oil and it was very tacky to touch. Many pages stuck together. I had to actually wash the cover with a sudsy-hot-water soaked cloth. Thank goodness the cover withstood the cleaning.

Another winner from the Beautiful Cookbook series. These books look like they are just something to put on a coffee table, but the recipes are extremely well researched. The format of this one is regional, so you get a sample of the real food that the people of a given area of Mexico make for themselves.

I bought this book after a trip to Mexico and was amazed as to how authentic the recipes were. The dishes I have made rival the dishes we had during our travels and it is nice to have a cookbook which stays so true to the ethnic flavor and tradition of the place it represents. I have given away 4 copies of this to dear friends and have won raves from dinner guests who compliment me and say they truly feel that they have eaten a Mexican feast.

The book is large (10.5x14.5) and is fully illustrated and worth every penny. The illustrations are not step-by-step but are large images that show the finished product. I learned more from studying the final dish images in large format than from all the other Mexican cook books I have, and I have more cookbooks than I need. The recipes cover the simplest to the more complicated. I like the simpler ones. I have many of the best books from other authors, but they are text, text, text. This one makes me want to cook, which I am going to do right now!

The book is a bit more 'used' than I had anticipated, but that doesn't effect the great recipes inside.

This is by far the best Mexican cookbook I've ever owned. Many authentic recipes from all the different areas of the country. This book has served as both a coffee table book during holiday seasons and a cookbook during those times when I'm trying new types of cooking. I don't think this is in print any longer, but if you can find a good used copy I highly suggest this book. Excellent photography, recipes and format.

This is a fantastic book with lots of wonderful recipes, photo with each recipe and some history to go with it. The history contained in the book is every bit as interesting as the recipes. I bought this book used and was so please with the condition it arrived in. It looked new.
