So I've had this tomtoc aviator 3.5l sling for around 8 months now, and I gotta say they have really listened to what people want in an EDC sling bag. This is one of the best slings on the market. Believe it or not, I don't even mean in this price range. I'm talking at any price. The price is just the cherry on top.I have some photos added, but a couple things I've changed. the first thing I swapped are the zipper pulls. The ones that come with the bag are very thin and probably the only thing I could ding in the bag. But just pick up some 550 Paracord, like I did, and issue fixed. The second thing I changed out was the buckle. Now this isn't really a con. The duraflex buckle that comes with the bag is fine. I'm just very picky about my buckles and can't really stand the sound they make or the feeling of clipping them. So I cut that one off (do this at your own risk and think about everything before committing. This could ruin your entire bag) and added a Maglockz magnetic slider buckle from one of my older Alpaka slings.The quality of this sling is awesome. The strap is nice and smooth (like a seatbelt), the exterior ripstop fabric is amazing is prob my new favorite. Even overtaking X-Pac! It's so comfortable to wear. By far the most comfortable bag I own. It's feels great to interact with as well.The interior of the bag is also amazing to interact with. I'm so happy tomtoc finally made the high viz standard. The mesh on the interior is also some of my favorite in any bag. It's so soft and stretchy. The layout of the pockets works great and I'm always surprised with how much I can fit inside. I can take my carry out of much bigger slings, and very surprisingly, it usually fits with no issue in this sling.The zippers, even though not water sealed, are perfect. They are quality and some of the smoothest you'll get. The extra things that round out this bag and put it over the edge, are the keyleash in the front pocket, the pocket on the back for securing important items, and last but not least, the dangle free strap system that is very simple to adjust.Overall this is one of, if not my favorite sling ever. My favorite thing is of comfortable and form fitting the ripstop exterior fabric is. I honestly would pick the ripstop over the X-Pac in this situation. That's unless you absolutely need the water resistance and extra durability. I'm extremely happy with the bag.ComfortMost importantly, the strap is very comfortable. It's soft, smooth, pliable, and lies flat, which allows me to load up the weight and even hang a water bottle from it comfortably for extended periods. Other bags I've don't stand up.Organization:The bag is a bit busy, particularly for the size. There are three separate pockets, and the main compartment has two dividers. I feel this is too much and I'd rather cut down on the bulk. You may differ.Materials:It's very high quality - mostly rip stop nylon and YKK zippers. In fact, it may be too high quality. The fabric is thick and heavy duty, and there are at least 10 layers of material from front to back. All this adds to the bulk ever so slightly.All that said, I'm very happy with it. While I'd prefer a more minimalist design and economy of materials, perhaps I'm not meeting Tomtoc on their own terms. The bag does what I need (carrying my phone, wallet, action camera and earbuds on vacation), and I expect it to last. 5 stars.

Perfect size. At first, thought it might be too big, but the size was perfect for walking around during a 2 week overseas trip. Was able to fit a spare charger, slim umbrella and bottle of water, among other things. Back pocket is perfect for passports. There are handy pockets at the front of the bag as well as inside. Build quality is terrific. Can wear it in front or back or side. Adjustable strap.

Perfect sling bag for travel or daily use. Very well made, arrived promptly. I thought that it might be a little large, since I do not cary a lot of "tactical " items or a pistol. However, as a pocket dump or convenience bag for daily use or meetings not requiring a laptop, it is perfect. My wife liked it so much, that she is ordering one.

Tomtoc has come a long way and continues to make great products. I really love this sling bag and their other products that they have. But this bag is lightweight, comfortable, and great for carrying essentials. It’s easy to wear and doesn’t feel bulky. The only thing I wish is that they sold it in a 2.5L size, as a bit more space would make it even more versatile. You can purchase the 2.5l bag on their website I believe, but you cannot do it on Amazon sadly, and so I had to return this product. Overall, it’s a well-made bag that balances convenience and functionality.The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because I wish they sold this in 2.5l, but overall, its great!

Not sure whether this is an improvement over the original design or not. I have both, and love them both… This one has less of the rubberized material on the outside… which is fine. I do like the color. It’s maybe a touch less slim than the original, but they seem to hold the same amount. This one has become my dad-bag for outings with the kids. Wipes, hand sanitizer, water bottle, snacks, hand warmers, etc. All fit great!

I have used this for a while and I really like the size. It isn't a large sling it can hold a phone and small wallet comfortably. But it cannot fit a water bottle or anything of that size. The quality feels good and I like the orange liner, it makes it feel easy to see your stuff when it is dark out.

This is an excellent crossbody pack to carry the basics. It has an outside zippered pocket with a key lanyard, a main pocket with a zippered mesh pocket inside and a separate compartment that will hold your phone. There's also an additional pocket that resides on the opposite side. All zippers are YKK brand and very smooth. The interior is a brighter orange which I like, it allows easy visibility of things inside. The outer fabric is pretty sturdy for a small pack. While it's not heavy duty cordura nylon, it has stood up to daily usage on my walks. It's very lightweight too. Build quality of the stitching etc. is excellent. The grey color is pretty stain resistant, and washes easily too.
