Good enough, at a great price
I bought this as an upgrade to my junky old pot-steel paring knife that would barely take an edge, so admittedly the bar was low. In any case, for the price I'm quite happy. It came shaving-sharp, slices paper cleanly (if a little noisily) and it's smooth as glass across a thumbnail (which means no significant burr). Quite respectable for a factory edge on an affordable knife, and likely better than most people are used to. I'm obsessive, so of course I'm going to take it to the stones to squeeze more out...but it doesn't need work. It feels nice in the hand. Balance is personal preference and it's somewhat academic in a knife this size and weight, for my purposes anyway, unless it's *really* off. That said, it balances right around the first rivet, maybe 1"/2.5cm behind the bolster. I really like the extra blade length, over the ~3"/7.6cm paring knives I'm used to. It turns it from a knife I only use for very specific jobs (cutting the top out of a bell pepper, say) to a more general-purpose "light duty" knife. The only thing that somewhat limits it in this capacity, is the lack of knuckle clearance due to the slender (spine-to-edge) profile. But you can't have it all. Fit-and-finish is adequate at this price point. It all looks nice enough. They didn't quite sand the scales and tang flush on the butt end of the handle, but you'd never normally feel that, and the rest is smooth. Overall, I'm happy. I very much doubt anyone would call this a bad knife. I don't think a paring knife is worth spending big bucks on, unless you already have a lot of very nice knives and money isn't an issue. You just need a serviceable one that isn't awful to use, and this certainly fits the bill.

Great little knife!
Pretty sweet little knife, sharp as and light weight. For this price it’s almost a steal. No staining or watermarks either, handle is sturdy and tight. Friend is a bartender and loves it.

Good quality Nakiri
I am really enjoying this knife. I had vetted quite a few that looked similar but I wanted to go with an authentic Japanese build. This knife is lightweight enough to allow lots of cuts without fatigue. I have gone through all types of vegetables including tough cabbage cores and carrot tops. The blade has stayed sharp with minimal honing. The spine of the blade has right angles typical of other Japanese style knives that can take a little getting used to. My index finger has long had a callous from years of using knives so no real issue there for me. I definitely recommend this knife for anyone looking for a quality knife and interested in trying a Nakiri style blade.

Rebranded Alibaba Knife that's okay
The good: Looks good with nice fit and finish. The only obvious defect is the end of the tang is a little rough. Sharp out of the box. Nice hefty handle. The bad: It's a not a thin knife. It's probably is going to have pretty mediocre edge retention. It's a rebranded knife and you aren't dealing with the manufacturer. Conclusion: I like the knife. It feels nice and it fits in nicely with the riveted handle German knives. It's probably reasonably quality, but there's a lot of budget competition with stamped knives with quality steel better geometry. Since they aren't saying "forged," the bolster is probably welded on and that often creates a weak spot.

Definitely worthy of purchase & not because of the price, but inexpensive plus 👍🏽
Just received my Kimura chef knife, simply amazing!! Razor Sharp out of the box, fit & finish was better than I expected. I’m definitely ordering more from this brand. Don’t sleep on this gem. Just as a reference I own Tojiro dp, Misono eu steel, Shun, & Global just to name brands I have experience with.

Most excellent knife.
This knife is superbly made and very sharp. Also came very well packaged and with a shield over the blade to keep it sharp and away from damage. Ordered three different sizes and they are all wonderful. Sizes are just what I wanted. Great color and trim on the handles. Very comfortable grip with three rivets.

Kimura has created a great knife!
What an amazing knife! I’ve been looking for a good chef’s knife for a long time. I just returned from a trip to Japan, where I participated in a cooking class. We were using Jikko chefs knives during the class. I was impressed, but the price for a new one was very steep. I got back to the US and found the Kimura on Amazon and thought I’d give it a try. This is an exceptional knife and absolutely RAZOR sharp. Well balanced and is holding its ultra sharp edge with no problems. I treat if with care and only hand wash and dry. A great knife at an exceptional price. I will update in a few months to let everyone know how it’s holding up.

Nakiri knife
I'm a professional chef and I bought this Nakiri knife for work. I love the fact that it came really sharp right out of the box. I would compare it to my other Tojiro knife but at a fraction of the price. This would be a great knife for professional and home chefs, I definitely recommend buying it. Knife sheath is sold separately lol..
