I own several different clip-on lights, and many of them are quite similar to this one. However, this is hands down the best one I've owned.It is very well made and the light is attached to a very flexible but sturdy stainless steel gooseneck attached to the light and the clamp at the bottom. The clamp can expand up to 2.36 inches and it has a long USB cable attached. I'm not sure exactly how long this USB cable is, but I will say that it is the longest of all of the clip-on lights I own.I clip this onto the headboard of my bed and I use it as a light to read in the dark as my partner cannot stand any lights on in the bedroom.It has three lighting modes: Focusing mode reading mode and sleeping mode with varying brightnesses. It also has different colour lights such as amber light, warm white and cool white.The standout feature for me though is the fact that this comes with a remote control in my experience of owning a lot of these that is practically unheard of so this is a really nice bonus and one of the reasons why it's one of my favourites.The other is the fact that it comes with an included plug and not just a USB cable that you're expected to find something to plug it into this is also a nice little touch.Lastly, it also has a built-in timer which is something none of my others have. They really have thought of everything with this and I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a clip-on light. This is the first product review I've ever written and, unfortunately, it is entirely negative. I was looking so forward to receiving my new clip on lamp for the headboard in my new bedroom (after a room switch) because the old lamp had to remain in the former room. When it arrived today, however, it was dead on arrival. Whether plugged in through the USB connection or the adapter, the power indicator light is on but the lamp won't turn on to give light. So I'm sitting here in the dark writing this because I am still lampless.The lamp box was flimsy with the lamp sitting loosely inside, and was shipped to me in a plastic wrapping causing the box to be partially damaged. I blame the seller for the inadequate packaging of the lamp itself (without securing the product inside). I blame Amazon for the plastic wrap rather than a proper box. Who in their right mind ships an electronic item in a plastic sleeve rather than a proper box?I do not own a computer printer for the Amazon return process, nor should I need one. I request that the seller reach out to me to make this right as soon as possible please, as I have parted with good money to be left in the dark.

I needed a light for reading in bed and this little light does the job. The clamp is strong and doesn't move that much when I adjust the position of the light. The remote is a huge plus. It's easy to use, convenient and there are several brightness settings.This was a great buy for the price. I'm happy with my purchase.

I have this adjustable lamp attached to my headboard and I don’t know how I’ve lived without it! The light itself has like 8-9 different settings, the goose neck stays put, very stable, plug in. I move it all over the place without undoing the clip that holds it up. Good buy.

The clamp maxes out at about 1.75", anything over that when you move the arm the clamp losses grip and the light falls off. I have a old antique wooden bed, with a thick head board. Once I finally found a spot the clamp likes, the light has stayed in place and not fell off.The light color option works well, you can chose between 4 different color settings. The brightness adjustments are just like they are advertised, click the button and adjust brightness in 8 levels.
