Super dooper
I haven't read comic books for a few cent- decades. It took a bit of adjusting to the page layout and learning how the word balloons order changed. I was pleased to see that even though the old comics code is generally kaput, these four volumes certainly would have passed the code with flying colors. Which is clearly fitting for supers. They were all quite delightful. I also found out who those girls are lined up on the bottom of the covers of the novels in the serries. I had gotten some wrong since they are newer heroes I hadn't seen before. OK, I also liked that the cost was about $10 less than the individual books.

CAUTION: may be TOO empowering.
Bought these for my 7-year old daughter. I like that they finally made comics geared towards girls, where they really emphasize that females can be strong superheroes too. It sends a positive message. However, I SHOULD keep a star because now my daughter's up on the roof wearing a cape yelling at "evildoers" aka our elderly neighbors, but I'll leave it at 5 stars, because now that I think about it, it's probably got more to do with poor parenting skills. Oh honeybunny...

2nd grader loved these!
My daughter loved these. They are in the graphic novel/comic book style, but slightly smaller in size and more pages than a standard comic book issue. Each book is a stand-alone story about the group of characters. I enjoyed reading through them too. The content is tame. They aren't dealing with "teen" issues or "social justice" topics so an early reader audience should be fine.

Love, will be buying more
My daughter absolutely loves dc super girls. We just had her birthday party and the theme was super heroes! It's a bit difficult for younger kids to follow because they are written in comic form. I just add things to the end of the speech bubbles like ..."said Wonder Woman" to help.

Good, Not Great
I got this as a gift for my daughter. five months later, I asked her how she liked it, and got a solid "meh" for an answer. She liked the Wonder Woman booklet, but that was it. All in all, though, I think it does what it advertises but it isn't anything to go over the moon about.

Great books
My daughter loves it!! We are all about strong girl role models and my 3 little ones are over the moon for DC Super Hero Girls, She-Ra, and Just Add Magic.

Five Stars
My young daughter (age 5) loves this series! They are graphic novels, but they aren't too wordy...and they're funny too! This is a great set!
