My Fixget measuring calipers arrived on time but with little other than gravity holding the gauge inside the packaging as the staples or whatever was in place to hold it all together had long since parted company with the unit. The promised spare LR44 battery which at one time resided in a now empty moulded space within the packaging was most probably now keeping the securing staples company somewhere between here in the north east of Scotland and Poole in Dorset.Don’t be expecting Mitutoyo levels of accuracy with these all plastic Vernier calipers from Fixget. This type of instrument definitely falls into the ‘you get what you pay for’ category but that being said, against my more expensive Vernier’s, these stood up quite well and could certainly be used to a reasonably high degree of accuracy.Given the reason I purchased these calipers, their accuracy was more than sufficient as can be shown by my attached images. Being able to drill to a required depth with an accuracy of a millimetre or a part thereof is a tremendous asset and these calipers have allowed me to achieve just that. They have allowed me to lock in to my drill press for example a depth of say 8.6mm and a rapid succession of holes will all be to the exact depth.Do I think the calipers are worth £6.99, well yes I do in my case and for the majority of people these are accurate enough and with a good large digital readout, there’s not much to dislike. Let’s face it, if you’re an engineering student you’ll not be sending away for these anytime soon but if you need to know the inside diameter of the bolt hole for your toilet seat, then these might just be the very fella’s for you – Happy measuring.

Couldn't believe the low cost of this item. Does the job well despite that. The jaws are plastic but accurately take measurement.A must for those making parts with a 3d printer.

Its accurate and exactly what I needed. I didn't want to spend a lot and this item was perfect. Its plastic but sturdy and works as it should. It is accurate as usual can see in the pictures. What more could you want.

Not the best quality, looked like it had already been opened and used as packaging was torn, batteries where already inside and the device was turned on and some small scuffs around the body.

These are terrible. Cheap plastic and snapped on the rear. They are NOT accurate at all giving fluctuating readings and if you press it for a firmer hold it will indent the plastic grippers holding your item. THEY ARE NOT HIGH QUALITY as the write up indicates. It's why I bought them and was sorely disappointed. I'm going to see if I can get my money back because they are useless. Why pay for an item that's not accurate, cheap and that's broken? I WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE SO if I'd known or been able to see them before buying. Sadly that's they problem with buying online. You rely on the seller being honest in their write up and find they were not when you get your item. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND TIME WASTING

Good product, good size digital display. Even came with a spare battery

I decided to buy the caliper because I need to know the thickness of the composite parts I make. In the case ofcarbon fiber, the thickness of the finished part must be as exact as possible. The measurement errorof this caliber is acceptable for this price, for what I need it, it is great for me.I've been with him for a short time and for now I'm happy. I do not know how long it will last but itseems that it is made with acceptable materials. Time will tell.

Muy sorprendido con este calibre. Por su precio no me separaba gran cosa, creía que sería impresos y pequeño, pero no, me he sorprendido bastante, esta fabricado en algún tipo de fibra lo que lo hace ligero y manejable, su apertura máxima es de 150mm que no está nada mal, es preciso, no baila la medida en el display cuando l estas tomando como con otros calibres que he tenido y para rematar viene con 2 pilas, una puesta lista para funcionar retirando el plastiquito y otra de repuesto, ¿ que más se puede pedir ?

Calibro ottimo da essere dato in mano a chi non ha molta ESPERIENZA con gli strumenti di misura, è praticamente indistruttibile e fa bene il suo lavoro, da me lo tengo vicino l'armadio delle punte e delle frese, peccato solo che non legga pure i centesimi, ma si ferma ai decimi (ottimo per uso obbistico) letture veloci, leggero e comodo da tenere in mano. i becchi chiudono alla perfezione senza il minimo trafilo di luce. !
