Steering feels new again
Had death wobbles at 50 mph, with this now the shakes are all gone and my steering wheel stays completely straight when I go through bumps. Definitely worth the money. P.S. getting the OEM stabilizer off is pretty difficult, it took me a while but installing was like butter.

Dropped right in, does NOT pull to the right.
'Completed a 4-wheel brake job on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Duramax and noticed that the old and worn steering stabilizer appeared to be an aftermarket item, installed with "U" and "L" brackets. Research revealed that it was in fact, a KYB aftermarket unit. Being that my truck is shod with Bilstein 6100 series shocks on all four corners (which has performed flawlessly), I decided to get this one to complete the set.....without reading the reviews as I usually do. So I was shocked to read the negative reviews "after" installing the unit last night. I did notice that I had to compress the stabilizer about 3 inches to get it to line up with the outboard mounting bracket hole so if that's what y'all mean by a positive charge, I understand now. Fast forward and I'm at work this morning after a short, 8-mile run on the freeway but have noticed no adverse steering effects and certainly no pulling to the right whatsoever. I do notice however, that my steering is now a lot smoother, there's absolutely no steering wobble, the truck tracks like it's on a rail even after hitting those pesky bumps and pot holes on the freeway, AND as a bonus, the Bilstein eliminated some annoying, turning squeaks which I thought was just due to an old, aged suspension(the annoying squeaks, which to my surprise was caused by the old KYB unit!). So I don't understand why it worked as advertised for me and not everyone else?? I really feel for the guys that didn't get the result they were expecting. Bottom line: This Bilstein Steering Stabilizer just dropped right in, was the easiest/fastest upgrade I've done to date, does not pull to the right and absolutely makes my steering feel solid and safer especially at higher, sustained freeway speeds!

Great upgrade!!!
My Suburban did not have a steering dampener from the factory, all the mounts were there so this simply bolted in place. It made a huge improvement on the steering confidence. Before the dampener the steering always felt twitchy and jerky especially while going over rough roads. Now it solid and straight. and absolutely no pulling to one side like some review say. I am certain these reviews are from people that may not know how a steering dampener works and they see that the piston is positively charged and immediately think it will make the steering pull the the right. Absolutely not the case, yes it is positively charged with nitrogen to keep fluid foaming to a min but is it absolutely nothing that would cause the steering to pull one way or the other.

Great quality, make sure you verify part number on Bilstein website
My application: 2006 HD2500 LBZ DuramaxGreat quality, fit perfect and correct travel to allow full lock to lock steering on my truck.Make sure you verify part number on Bilstein website as the first time I did a search on Amazon it showed an incorrect part number fitting my application. Then search Amazon using the part number.
