This toner cartridge costs pretty much the same as the genuine Brother cartridge which considering Hallolux only claim the same 1200 page yield as Brother makes me wonder why anyone would chose this over the genuine article. My experience of various third party inks is that you’re lucky to get even 50% of the claimed yield, particularly if printing at a high DPI, whereas genuine ink tends to get a bit closer to - but usually still quite a bit less than - the claimed yield. The truth is though that this toner cartridge works and prints perfectly fine so still worth 4 stars even though at the current discounted price of £38.50 it wouldn’t be my first choice and I certainly wouldn’t even consider it at the normal price of £48.50. If when you’re reading this the price has come down below the genuine Brother toner then this would be a good choice.
