Less Sneezing
So my old Bissell was ripped apart a months before this purchase,by my angry Pitbull. Little... never mind.. I had the green swivel but I honestly think this 1 is more powerful and the surprise was at the end.I wanted to upload videos but I felt ashamed.Fresh out the box: light enough grandad can pick it up.Assembly, what are instructions?.. easy.. NO TOOLS. Less than 6 minutes. (That extra minute was to figure out which hole..lol).Plugging it in and go.. so I chose a HIGH TRAFFIC spot.. front door to kitchen to test things out. Small house. First vacuum i was SHOCKED. ALSO SCHOCKED for the 2nd, 4th and 6th time.. in the SAME SPOT.. I recorded each time, thats why i feel ashamed.. it was only a month. But good grief. Each time.. dog hair dirt.. EACH AND EVERY TIME. no wonder I was sneezing like crazy.Im scared to do the rest of my house but I have to.Pros.. the hose is the handle.. ikr. No bending. Press button, pull, go to work. From carpet to hard floor.. plus. Wasn't looking for that but I got it.Value. After the first 10 swipes in the same spot... WORTH IT!!I dont like blue but its not over powering, so ill deal with it and hhhmmm it looks cool..lolCons: after reading the instructions.. I believe the belt is going to be ur first issue. Because they give u instructions on how to remove and replace the belt.. ok. With a washable filter.. buy extra. Its not alot. Because it does not take 24 hrs to dry and if ur like me (vacuum everyday) you will need them.Side note ladies.. 3 or 4 drops in the filter of ur favorite essential oil fragrance. WHILE ITS DRYING, It just lights the house up.

Best vacuum I’ve tried compared to Target, Home Depot, Walmart and lowes. Buy it from Amazon homie
What can I say this vacuum is amazing, I’ve done my research on vacuums for so long for a client of mine, he claims he doesn’t have time to vacuum so I had to find him a vacuum that would help. Works well for me cause this vacuum picks up really well. Guess you could say it picks up everything just by looking at the photo. However I’ve checked out nearly everywhere. Walmart, Target, Home Depot, lowes, I’ve been everywhere and everything is just either too pricey or aren’t worth it due to the reviews. Make sure you check reviews please! Use the scanner thing on the website or app and check other peoples reviews cause you don’t want to buy something from target that looks good but doesn’t work well, I promise you and its so inconvenient to go back to Target right? Anyhow this is an AMAZING vacuum. IF you don’t believe me..:then look at the photos I added. 100k ppl already reviewed this vacuum and I’ll be added to the list, I wouldn’t make a review if it wasn’t good. Anyhow think about it. The price is also very reasonable and affordable. Only $116 with shipping and all? That’s a steal. Just do yourself a favor and buy it on Amazon. Save yourself time and hassle. LOOK AT ALL THAT DIRT! YUCK! The choice is yours!

Swivel/Wand Bissell Vacuum
I'm giving the vac five stars, but I will update it later. I received it a day early in good condition. The box didn't have any dents in it. The vac was very easy to assemble. No tools needed. I tested it and I really like the performance. The swivel is a great feature, but my favorite is the detachable wand. I have 4 small dogs and this feature allows me to reach behind furniture and grab fur balls. I can also reach under the sofa very easy. The wand was the biggest, but not the only reason I chose this model Bissell. My last Bissell I've had for many years and it still works great. I'll clean it up and give it to someone in need. This model is not as wide as my other vac, which allows me to go under dinning room chairs much easier. Over all, if it preforms as well as my old Bissell, I'll be very happy. UPDATE 7/14/25 I just vacuumed the whole house and now one of my favorite features is the swivel. I'm 68 and have a bad back. Normally when I vacuum the house my back is hurting. The swivel and wand helped so much, I'm not hurting at all. Thank you Bissell for the great vac.

If you have pets that shed you're gonna want this thing!
I have had this vacuum for 2.5 years now, so I think that's a pretty good amount of time to know what's good and bad about it. My previous vacuum was a Dyson Ball Animal, which I had for five or six years, so that's what I'm comparing it to. Overall the Bissell is a good vacuum, mainly because the suction power is amazing. Even when my Dyson was new it didn't have the suction power that the Bissell does, and for the last few years before it died I was having to use one of those scraper tools to pull all the cat hair up out of our rugs first before vacuuming, which was very labor intensive. We currently have 13 cats in the house, so it's extremely important for us to have a reliable vacuum that works very well and can handle all the cat hair. The Bissell can do that!So here are the main things I like about this vacuum: it has absolutely no trouble pulling ALL the cat hair out of the rugs, and of course hardwood/tile floors are no problem. The little side bristles help to pull in dirt and hair next to baseboards, which is also really helpful. It's very lightweight and swivels on a dime, so it's easy to handle. The tank is large and very easy to empty, and even when hair gets stuck up around the filter, it's big enough to reach into. That was a problem with the Dyson, because hair would get stuck up near the top but it was almost too small to reach into so I'd have to use a hangar to get everything out. I also like that the cord retracts, and there's a little thing near the top of the handle that you can clip the cord into to help keep it out of the way. Changing the belt is fairly easy - but I'll get into that later. The things I don't like as much: The hose works fine and some of the tools are good, like the one with the brush on it, but it could be improved. This is one area where the Dyson was much better - the hose was longer and had a sort of handle, and everything was better quality. The Bissell tools are cheap and don't work as well, especially the "triple action brush roll" that's supposed to pick up cat hair. I have tried and tried to figure out how to make that thing work and it just doesn't. That is probably the biggest disappointment with the Bissell - I absolutely need an attachment that picks up cat hair to vacuum the couch, chairs, and everything else that gets covered in hair. The Dyson has an attachment like that with little rotating heads that works incredibly well. Fortunately, it fits on the Bissell hose! If you have pets I highly recommend buying that attachment by itself to use with the Bissell. It's the Tangle-Free Turbine Tool that goes with the Dyson Animal DC40 upright vacuum. I also still use the "articulating hard floor tool" that came with the Dyson, because the Bissell doesn't have anything like that and it fits on the Bissell hose. The Bissell corner tool may be useful if you have carpeted stairs but I don't have stairs and have never found a use for it.The Bissell is bigger than the Dyson and doesn't fit under things as well. Also, when using the hose you have to be very careful not to pull too much or the whole vacuum will fall over because it's so lightweight. I have learned that you have to hold onto it or lay it down to use the hose. Also, over time it has gotten louder; I'm not sure why. Those things are all minor annoyances. The main negative is the same thing many other people have mentioned - the belt breaks too easily. I'd had it less than two months when the belt broke, because I had the vacuum sitting on the edge of a rug that had fringe. While I was busy vacuuming under something with the hose, it somehow sucked the fringe up and I guess it got clogged and that snapped the belt. I was prepared for that because of other reviews, so I ordered more belts from Bissell and they arrived pretty quickly. In the directions it tells you to remove the screws from the plate on the bottom, but there is one more than it says there are. After a few minutes I figured out how to get the belt in the right place and around the roller, put everything back together, turned it on, and there was immediately a horrible noise and I swear flames came out of the vacuum before I could get it turned off. I took the bottom plate off again and not only was the new belt broken but the roller was also broken. I'm not sure what happened because I followed the directions. I contacted Bissell support and told them what happened, and it took them a couple of days to respond, but when they did they said those things aren't usually covered by the warranty but that they would send me a new roller and belt free of charge! They arrived pretty quickly. The roller was a different color than the original, but I wasn't going to gripe about a free replacement. This time after I reinstalled everything it worked perfectly.Since then it has worked great, and no more broken belts! I have learned to be somewhat careful with it. If you buy this vacuum be aware that the suction is so good it will suck up small rugs (like bath mats), and don't roll over small cords or anything loose that could get tangled up in the roller. I never worried about that with the Dyson because even if something did get sucked up I could just pull it out. The Bissell is not as sturdy but will EAT things if you're not careful.Bottom line - even with the minor annoyances I would buy this vacuum again in a heartbeat just for the suction alone, but the price definitely helps.
