The best
I recently installed the General Electric DIY Protection Burglar Alert Wireless System, and I’m very impressed with its performance. The setup was straightforward—everything I needed was included in the package, and I had it up and running in no time. The wireless design is convenient, and it doesn't require any complicated wiring or professional installation, which is a big plus. The alarm itself is loud and effective, providing a strong deterrent against intruders. I also appreciate the motion sensors, which provide added security when I’m away from home. The system is easily customizable to fit my home’s layout, and the app interface is user-friendly. I feel much safer knowing that I have a reliable security system in place without breaking the bank. Overall, I highly recommend this wireless alarm system for anyone looking for an affordable and simple DIY home security solution.

Does a great job at what it's supposed to do.
Super easy to install. I installed mine on a cabinet doors. Just take take your time with aligning the magnet to the alarm and it should be pretty smooth and easy. There are two different tones for the alarm. One is the siren and the other a doorbell tone. The alarm was pretty loud in a big open space so I can image in a smaller room it'll be pretty loud. The doorbell tone isn't as loud as the siren though, but it's loud enough to be able to hear it from at least 60' away. There is no volume control so it's just one volume.Nothing too difficult with this item. Just align the sensor and magnet, remove the protective paper from the double stick tape and you're good.

Very Good, Loud
I replaced my old one that was dying out with this brand; even when my old one wasn't dying out, this one is so much louder than my old one. I would definitely recommend, it gives me a little ease when it comes to how often my door is being opened. And as I have a young Autistic child, I am very reliant on the performance of these alarms, especially the constant alarm option, it helps me know when the door is left open; so far so good for me!

Purchased again and again!
These are wonderful. I have some that have been in use for a couple of years and have never had to change the batteries yet.The first set I got didn't have screws on the battery cover, but the newer ones do. This is helpful if you have small kids and worry about the button batteries. The stickiness is great and holds up well to the pressure of turning the alarm on and off. These are great if you have kids who elope or get into cupboards of closets they shouldn't. It has two settings, a ding-dong and then an alarm sound. I typically use the alarm setting and it is loud and obnoxious, exactly what you'd want in an alarm. The ding-dong is great if you're wanting to be aware of doors opening and closing.I use the alarms on the outside door. While having toddlers who loved to play in the toilet I had the ding-dong alarm set on the bathroom door to alert me when they Houdini-d through the handle logs. I have also used the ding-dong to let me know when a toddler has woken up from a nap and come out of their room.I only have one floor, but it's loud enough that I'd imagine you could hear it from a second floor or basement, unless you have a very large house.

I would buy more if I need to
Batteries are included in all of the alarms. They are loud, great quality, easy to install, easy to read instructions. Great value for the price!

The two of the four which work, work well. :-/
This product is a little disappointing, but about what you might expect for the money. They feel like cheaply made toys and that reflects the quality of the electronics inside the units, half of which did not and do not function properly. They are small enough to use on most window frames although obviously some thought must go into exact placement. I discovered that, to avoid them being easily seen from the outside, I can place them on top of the lower half of double hung windows, completely hiding the unit from outside view (preventing the mode switch being seen from the outside). This also reduces the probability of the unit falling off (in the event of the adhesive tape's failure) because it is lying flat on top of the frame. The volume is adequate and the alarm can be heard from one end of our rather large house to the other and continues sounding until turned off at the switch or the window is closed. The chime is almost as loud and, of course, not as obnoxious and only sound for a few seconds. The reason for only 3 stars is that two of them do not function properly. They've been installed for about a week. Disappointingly, one of the four units' alarm mode failed "out-of-the-box" and another unit's alarm mode will only chirp and not continue sounding if the window is raised quickly. This creates uncertainty and a lack of confidence in the product having a long service life. We'll see and I'll try to remember to update my review after they've been in service for a while. I plan to order another package for I'm interested in whether the percentage of non-functioning units will be the same. Also, these will not readily work on most residential doors due to the offset from the frame molding to the surface of the door. A supporting block could be affixed to the door which would place the alarm unit in juxtaposition with the magnet. Some modification to decorative molding would have to also be made in order to affix the magnet securely.Having done several tests, I'm reasonably confident the ones that actually work will provide adequate warning in case of unauthorized intrusion and will adequately support our home defense strategy.
