Works great for porridge, just make to in the usual way (I use the microwave), but you can also cook with it. Although just out of date range, I'm happy with the quality, texture and flavour. I've not used barley flakes before, but this is a quality product. Many uses in the kitchen.

This pack of Trend barley flakes can be used much as you might use oats. I've been mixing them with kefir, chia seeds, peanut butter or tahini and fruit for a tasty light meal. They are a bit denser than rolled oats so do require a bit more cooking or soaking time.The use by date on the packet I received is September 2025. The flakes are good quality and there isn't an excessive amount of dust contributing to the weight.I would like to see the company shift to sustainable packaging though. I personally wouldn't buy from them over companies that sell in readily recyclable packaging.

These seem like a healthy and versatile ingredient to add to my diet. I try to eat a wholefood diet where possible, so this was a good find for me.These flakes are packed with nutrients like fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals. They're also listed as organic and free from additives and preservatives, which is important to me. Plus, they're vegan-friendly (I'm one of those dirty Vegans too).One of the things I like most is how versatile they seem to be. I can use them in hot breakfasts like porridge or granola, or even bake them into things like bread and muffins. They add a nutty flavour to recipes. very delicious.The bag I got is resealable and keeps the flakes fresh, which is great. The only downside is that since they're organic, they don't have a super long shelf life, but that hopefully shouldn't be an issue, but will update if it expires before I get them finished.

These Trend brand 100% organic barley flakes in a resealable 500g bag, taste lovely in granola and muesli. They’re perfect for adding fibre and protein, being organic they don’t have a very long shelf life though, mine have 4 months best before on, but that’s long enough with 500g for me. Very happy to recommend them to you too.
